They do this to me everytime. I see a great couple, Inaho x Princess, then in an instant they just die.

Season 2 better bring them back, else, we all fly over to Japan and start a riot.

I actually liked it. Except for after the credits.

I thought it was a good ending. I'm tired of the generic happy endings, that happen in pretty much every movie and show. If there really is a second season, then one of them if probably still alive.

I wasn't asking for a happy ending. If they wanted them to die, they could've at least escalated it a bit slower so that they could make a baby or two. :<

That's a very slow escalation D: However, I do agree with you.

hmm... I guess, but I mostly liked this, because it was sorta realistic. In war, anybody can die.

Yeah, exactly. The "bad" Martians weren't all bad. Was Saazbaum really so evil? He had questionable means, but he was also pretty desperate. People suddenly hate Slaine because they can't comprehend him saving him, but what's so hard to understand about conflicted loyalties? The war was awful and devastating. The fact they needed children to help them fight it should tell you all you need to know about how terrible it was. So was it a just war? It turns out all wars are terrible, no matter how "just" they seem. I think this anime showed that well.

It just cracks me up that people are over on the episode board "flipping tables" because it had a downer ending. IMHO if they feel that way they should never again complain about anime cliches

Considering this is a 2 season thing... Well.. For some reason i am not counting either of those two out until i get a direct confirmation they're dead. Probably folly on my part. But i've got a nagging feeling neither of those two are down for the count yet.

I'm gonna say that the princess is alive, and Inaho is definitely dead. Seriously though, it was a brilliant ending. I can completely understand why Slaine killed Inaho. It was because throughout the entirety of the series Inhao used the princess as a tool, and nothing more. He may have developed feelings for her at the end, but that doesn't really change anything. And Slaine knew this because of the way Inaho backstabbed him back when they fought together. Inaho was too Machiavellian for his own good, and so Slaine killed him before he could wrought more damage.

Well, this was partly written by Urobuchi, what did you expect? Always tell yourself, at least it isn't Madoka Magica.
