I have not caught up, but the sound of this ending is totally too shock value to be real beans for Season 2.

Like for realz yo.

And stop saying "partially written" by Urobuchi. He wrote it but did not script it. He is not responsible for the dialogue or any animated quirk, but the dude did write the story and chain of events we see before us.

I hope the princess is actually dead now because really? She's faked/almost died 2 times before. Shame about Inaho though....

Inaho was probably one of the only main characters i didn't have some form of hatred for.

He was a real soldier through and through. None of that "oh gawd, ill saveth you my love!" "NOOO we cant shootz him, derp, he only just tried to murder 6 billion people" "insert long winded explanation about his next attack".

I loved his realistic and desensitized personality. Which is a more realistic take as to what someone would be like in an actual near apocalyptic situation compared to the previously described cut and paste MC.

The ending was tragic and beautiful. Had a real Shakespearean vibe to it. I hope Inaho is actually dead, as it would ruin the show if they were suddenly like.
"Welp we managed to piece his brain back together from the bits and pieces splattered all over his helmet, so hes... uhm alive again? i guess? sorta?"

Looking forward to season 2 and maybe seeing Rayet or Inko take the lead.

I think Art from Hamatora can challenge him for that title.
They're actually sort of similar in a way.

I changed it to disappointing, I still hate him though. He didn't live up to my expectations.

I hate to be like this, but this is what I wanted. Maybe not specifically what I wanted, but I was such a strange kind of happy when I was watching this episode. Very daring. Good to see that kind of thing from Urobuchi. So far, this show hasn't been held to the normal Urobuchi formula, and yet it's so very him. Had a little rough patch around episode 6 or so, but now this show's back. And it ended on such a high/low note. I love it.

I'm gonna say that the princess is alive, and Inaho is definitely dead. Seriously though, it was a brilliant ending. I can completely understand why Slaine killed Inaho. It was because throughout the entirety of the series Inhao used the princess as a tool, and nothing more. He may have developed feelings for her at the end, but that doesn't really change anything. And Slaine knew this because of the way Inaho backstabbed him back when they fought together. Inaho was too Machiavellian for his own good, and so Slaine killed him before he could wrought more damage.

Just remembered a video I just watched and not all headshots kill it depends on the caliber of the gun, and where you are shot.

The show is about war. The entire show slaine was going back and forth thinking who he should support. He went against the first martian guy because he thought he was the trader and inadvertently got him killed by the real trader. Now he goes to kill the real trader in a fit of rage but ends up killing Inko (maybe) instead.

I liked it, it reminds me of the Monogatari ending where Kaiki "dies" or the ending of the first book/season of game of thrones were your would be main character just is brutally murdered. I cant wait to see where they plan to move from here with this show. It has an interesting lore and backstory as well as interesting characters. Clearly the writers have the balls to do what needs to be done as well.

But most of the time they are. The caliber of Slaine's gun seemed pretty big to me. It was also at point blank range. The blood also seemed to have exited Inaho's head from the back-center. It was a clean shot in my book, and Inaho is definitely dead. I don't see how someone could survive a shot that goes through the center of the brain all the way through.

Agreed if Inaho is still alive I will drop the show.

The one thing that make me doupt Inaho is dead is that here's nobody who can take over as protagonist. The rest of the Terans are useless and the remaining Vers have deffinitely gone over the moral event horizon. There's simply nobody left to carry the show.

And they do like fake deaths, it's the third time the princess died.
