I also want to study in China (specifically Beijing) :)
It's not that the education there is better then here (Europe), but I just want to go there for a YEAR to learn MANDARIN, since my mandarin is kinda bad ^^ I think it'd be very exciting and fun, since i've lived all my life in the Netherlands

Well, some comment's here are kind of funny.
I am now studying in China (Shanghai) and I must say, it's the best decision I ever did in my life !
You get to know a completely different world. A better world in my eyes !
To study in China is hard, but it's not that you can't do it. I love to learn mandarin, that's why it's not hard at all to me.
You can make friends if you go to the uni - library, you will soon know some chinese friends with whom you can go out later. If you are a open person, it will be not hard for you get to know some chinese young people.

If some of you want to know how it is to study in China, just be free to try it yourself and go abroad haha

I also live in Shanghai. I'm a white guy and i've been living in china for over a year now and I love it. I plan to live here for as long as possible but I know a lot of people who don't like it. Everyone is different. It's also all about your outlook. I'm a very open-minded and easy-going person and when I'm faced with adversity I can usually cope pretty well. Different personalities suit different settings so you should just try everything and find out :)

I spent a few years in Shanghai, China, personally feel overwhelmed by the amount of people and pollution at times

Certainly is an experience
