Hey Guys,

We need an update about how much longer we will have to wait for the app to be fixed for ios8.

it's been a while now that we havent been able to read manga on ios8 devices.

It's not fair that we are paying for our subscription that is not accessible (reading on the desktop doesn't count as that is not a great experience).

any more of an update? I'm a fellow developer and I know we have all had access to the beta since wwdc.

Also, if it's going to take time to put out the fix, I dont think we should be paying for the membership while we are unable to use the app.

btw, more of an update means that apple has a 1 week lead time to approve the update.

does it look like the actual fix will take 1 week? longer? and then add on the apple review process?

From your response it seems like the developer has no clear path to fixing it anytime soon.

Same thought here. Been almost a week, or just shy of 1/4 of a monthly sub.

edit: Been about a week and a half since the official ios8 release and the official crunchyroll manga app stopped working, haven't seen any updates on any of this at all.

Could the paying customers PLEASE get at least something close to an ETA for this to be fixed (and please not "we're working on it".......that's not very reassuring)

"No info" isn't really an acceptable response is it. If you pay for a product, you expect to receive that product and when an issue prevents the receipt of that product, its perfectly acceptable to expect a timely fix and regular communications about the release of said fix.

So, whats the story Baker? Why can you not provide us with any info about the fix and it's timescales?

Is it because you don't know or is it because of some secret new app/feature that your bosses have very mistakenly considered to be more important than a working app?

As davecazz has already said, iOS 8 has been available to developers for several months so I would expect your dev team to have some idea of what the plan is by now? Or are they just winging it?

Please tell us what is happening and when.

Agreed.
Starting to wonder if I should just cancel my sub or downgrade to just anime.
They really need to understand that for paying customers this is more than a 'minor inconvenience'.
As far as I know I've never even seen an official announcement that it's down......just response to people saying they know.

I've debated ditching the manga as well. The problems go back beyond iOS 8, and have made using the app a frequently frustrating experience. Mind you, I have 20+ manga in my reading list, and I'm enjoying them all, so I'd rather continue my all-access sub, but if half of it isn't working properly...

Still no fix, still no real response......and I still haven't seen any real notice (just those replies in threads......and haven't even seen one of those in days).
That's kind of ignorant to customers. Like RainerZA said.....they're pretty much ignoring everything about this by appearance.

It may sound harsh, but I'm starting to get the image of lazy slobs in a basement flipping us off while saying "f*** you, we already got your money"
It's only the iOS8 users who are screwed......is it even possible to make it up to us (instead of something that makes it up to everyone which includes the ones who don't use iOS) at this point?
