I just say put a case on it. I always have a case on a phone. Plus the phone isn't that sharp looking(in my opinion) so I'd just have a case on it anyways.

Surely I also put my phones in a case, however as the average case is made out of rubber it will not protect your phone from bending.
You may have the brains to pick a hard plastic one but the quote below this proves that many people don't.

They're just scraping the bottom of Steve Job's plate, and he's gone. Without a crumb.

Frankly I think they're running out of ideas.

I thought it was common sense that aluminium.... Is... bendy....

Did the person who designed this even go to high school?

And learn any Chemistry ...............

Well my question is why would you want to bend your phone? If you took care of it and be responsible it shouldn't be a problem

I don't think someone would bend it on purpose.

It's not the person's fault if it bends because it shouldn't bend in the first place.

When I said case, I ment like an otterbox, didn't clarify that. An otterbox is always the way to go, even if it is bulky, definitely won't bend!

Their originality died a very long time ago. They were at a time very ingenious, but they fell fast behind. Their features for every "showcasing" of the next product was over-hyped so much a lot of people forgot that the "new" inventions were long done and used. Their products are "premium" and not bad and their marketplace is stellar, but they are definitely suffering lately.

I am really curious as to how Apple will respond to this, because from what I have read on several other sites about this issue; People seem to have been charged for the repairs already.

They'll probably do what apple always does, turn it into an "exclusive new feature" and put the price higher.

'Apple 6 Plus with brand new technology and cutting edge design that allows the user to bend the phone to suit their needs! In stores now!'

'You've heard of water-bending, earth-bending, fire-bending and air-bending! With the new Iphone 6 Plus you can now become a full fledged phone-bender!'

People will still rent out their girlfriends to get the phone.

Apple's next trinket to impress their hivemind of slaves. I hope it breaks when bent.

It doesn't break when it bends.... However the screen breaks if you try to bend it back, watch this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwM4ypi3at0

what is so difficult about a iphone case? i wonder what its made out of. i mean, 7075-t6 aluminum is pretty tough stuff, yield of 65 thousand pounds an inch....
probly some dumbass used crap aluminum, no heat treating....apple has gone down hill without steve....
yet my droid has a carbon fiber base.....

edit: as far as the OP saying aluminum is soft.... some aluminum alloys are close to some steels....

There's no bending problem whit the iPhone 6, it's just the 6 plus.

iPhone 6 has a metal chassi inside it that makes it more durable, where as they tried to make the 6 plus as big as possible and while also keeping it as slim as possible... In other words, there's no room left for a stable metal chassi inside the 6 plus.
