Minato is such a third wheel, getting in the way of our yuri development

Gorgeous scenery

A nice bonding episode between Aoi and Subaru, with many beautiful solar backdrops, especially solar prominences.

Minato has graduated from the greenhouse and has become a mysterious transfer student.

Mm, not much action this week but we do have Nanako and a lovely artwork:

School festival coming up? That should hopefully be fun.

Your are not alone. Very Po-warm.

After all that build-up they had about special relativity and the time dilation, I had to smile when they swept it all under the rug for their return home.

Apate is REALLY far away!

Just love the science and astronomy in this show - they've done some good research.

Voyager 1 last year only just entered the Heliosphere (see pic below, distance in astronomical units) and Apate is on the outer edge of the Oort Cloud:
It only took 36 years and 12 billion miles...

We learn more about Nanako, and how she's come to have a solitary nature. All alone...needs more po-warm!

I got some Interstellar and Voices of a Distance Star vibes this episode.

Ep 8

I love how for something that initially started off as a moe/cute girls doing cute things, initially dull as well, they are integrating some nice science by bringing in principle of relativity in accordance with speed of light and how it would work with with a the proper vehicle. Obviously what that have is fantasy but they lowered the learning curve for its viewers to maybe check on the info later. Hopefully the younger viewers got something out of it, now that made me feel Po-warm :p , it also helps how beautiful the animation and art is.

Aside from the fun stuff.....shesh....the underlining sorrowfulness in this show just hits too close to home...although not as strong as ep 4, which I stand by as being one of the stronger eps of this show and this season, this was solid impression of loneliness. Nanako has been too used to this, and didn't bat an eye to volunteer for this process. "In the end, everyone is alone, how morbid is that for a cute show, lol I mean I get that it is resolved with its cutesy way, but there are some, myself included who get that faint relation. But I do like the message, there are comforts such as friends, connections, and so on that quells this feeling, even when you have those around you who might not notice. The parental relation is also somewhat there, mainly the over working that you tend to bypass each other on the day to day basis, and maybe only have time during meals and so on. Although mine isn't anywhere close to Nana's sadder state, never had the misfortune of going through Divorce. Should note, I do have a much better time spending relationship now with my folks, so not to bad mouth them haha, love them to bits. We might come into this world alone, but that is no reason to stay secluded, make connections and keep the bonds strong, there will always be someone that wants to be around or likes you, even when you don't acknowledge it. It is all about perspective.

All I can really say is, when this show delivers, it really delivers, that's two pretty solid episodes (4 & 8) by my books. btw, "Multilingual"girls are win, Nana might entering that fav character spot.

Every week, every episode....I feel like Minato and Sabaru grows a bit closer.

It looks like they've met in the past before as well which is interesting. The date trip the planetarium imo for this week's episode was magical.

Ah, I wish I made my own Planetarium box as a kid.
They do love playing Clair de Lune when a "couple" are alone (@10:30), but it's not a complaint; I liked the music box version.

Again, showing incredible scenery from this show, and one hell of a date - Minato is a smoooooth operator.

Damn supernovas, smooch-blocking the viewers!

As for the ending, not sure if they merged, or one is faking. I can only suppose there's some physics involved. Quantum Superposition? *throws random terminology that he doesn't understand and shrugs*

Mm, I think I just took a feels trip for this week's episode - especially in regards with Minato and Subaru's relationship.

That magical boy(?) transformation

I'm too tired to think what happened this episode - when his consciousness was separated by the dark curse and thus trapped him in that garden location, did that mean the previous hospitalized Minato became the horned Cape through an alteration of the past?

Hopefully someone can suggest a plausible explanation!

> I am me, You are you.

Interesting. I wonder how they will wrap this finale with the buildup from this episode. Minato sure has some nice advice here and there.

Loving the colour swaps of the couple-not-yet-a-couple.
Fake Minato, real Minato, True Minato...this guys's almost a mahou shounen Freeza.

It looks like we're headed for a bittersweet ending.
