Alright, so some of you may have noticed that new updated videos have not been available on mobile platforms within a reasonable time. This used to happen within 2-10 hours of being released. However within the past couple of months, those videos aren't available on the Android App for a good week or longer.

Whats going on CR? Encoding not working? Is this a bug? Am I alone?

You say 2-7 hours but these updated videos have been on the site for a good 2+ days. Multiple android devices I've confirmed this with.

Which videos, specifically? If PV/trailers, those are "weird" and require manually triggering the encodes, which usually means /contacting customer support, and Bjaker or another staff member will kick off the process.

Latest episodes of Free! Iwatobi Swim Club. Nobunaga Concerto. All the way down to the last update of Baby Steps. I gave up on checking further/older episodes. But this has been a trend. Anything on the "Updated" roster for several days. It's like they haven't been kept up with on Encoding them for the devices in a timely manner.

I don't want to say it's human error or neglect, but that is a possibility. Just someone's backlogged on encoding the new episodes for the Android App.

All of those play for me right away on my Kindle Fire HD... Of all the updated episodes, the only full episode that doesn't play for me is Majimoji that just came out maybe 20 minutes ago.

Perhaps you need to uninstall the app and reinstall and then log in again to clear something out?

Edit: Majimoji became available too, shortly after I posted. Only the PVs for Denki-Gai and Terraformars still do not play (the full ep1 of TF does play though), as eyeofpain explained above about PVs being "weird".

Because the encoding process appears to be (generally) automated, I don't really see how this could be human error on CR's end, especially since there isn't a huge outcry of users on the forum stating the exact same problem, as you've described it.

If asharka's suggestion doesn't fix the symptom, I would again suggest /contacting customer support for more thorough troubleshooting than can be done on the forums.

Try logging out and back in if certain episodes aren't available. If that does not fix the issue, report it through the /contact form.
