Went to watch a show just after one hour after it aired and no subtitles . Had to wait another thirty minuets before they showed up . Getting to be a trend. I think Crunchy roll dislikes Samsung owners more than Rokus (I own both) !

Apps can take longer, and this is just due to how long it takes for the video to encode for the devices, and not intentional. Since you posted in this thread a few months back, I would have thought you'd be aware of this already.

It has never taken this long , nor is it the first time . An hour and a half is a lot of time to wait ... shouldn't you be in bed right now young man ? LOL ! Edit ; that was back in May , you expect an old fart like me to remember that ?

I'm not gonna say that isn't a long time to wait, but maybe you've just been lucky recently, and only been catching episodes long after they've premiered, or the episode was uploaded with enough lead time for all the subtitles to get encoded.

I probably wouldn't remember something from that long back myself, but I know I've seen you in the Help forums, so I thought I'd just give you a gentle reminder that this isn't a new thing. :)

Normally, I'd be happily sleeping, but external forces compel me otherwise.

I know CR was trying to get streams that would work on as many devices as possible, in order to cut down on the number of encodes required for each episode.

Assuming the Samsung app and the new Roku app require separate encodes, I would hope CR looks at the number of members using each app to determine which gets priority. I could easily see there being more CR users on the Roku than on the Samsung app.

Same here; I am watching in a browser (Chrome) and no subtitles on SAO.

I have reported the bug, but I suppose it's just going to be a case of waiting...
