God how awesome would a Blade Runner anime be?! This most likely won't be anything like it, though with the "expiration" date on the androids, and the romance implications between the two main characters, I have a feeling the end of this show is not going to be a happy ending.

Episode 1

And so, PlaMemo begins introducing Tsukasa's line of work, and it's a pretty sad and depressing job to rip apart memories of droids whose nine year life spans are over. His role is to watch Isla and make sure she does her job right. One of the droid owners is quite difficult to deal with and not even all of those peace offerings could get her to bend, and it was funny to see Isla getting creative, but in the end Nina wanted to make one more memory with her grandmother over some tea. That was a pretty interesting setup and concept there about a task force whose job is to retrieve memories from droids headed for the scrap heap. That's a solid way to start this, and that's such a depressing line of work that Tsukasa has chosen himself to get into.

Hm! Hey, this was pretty interesting. I'm keeping tabs with this one! I want to see what happens when a droid goes out of it and such.

Ok, that was really good. I really hope it doesn't pull a Kotura-san as it continues.

Episode 1

Easily the best episode I've seen today besides maybe Seraph.

Well, it had an atmospheric setting with sci-fi/slice of life themes, good comedy, decent production values, and diverse cast of characters; and not to mention, the way it sets up has a host of potentials and possibly hidden secrets related to Isla. Great start, looking forward to more.

I. Need. More.

All of it. The setting. Characters. Story. Just everything I need more of.

Well that was pretty well executed i think. Lots of potential hidden as we saw the different characters and of course got an idea of themes and potential conflicts.

also quite liking the characters so far. Isla is certainly interesting. Liked the part where she gave chase.

Decent first episode if I must say so myself. The characters are nice, and may offer a drop of back story later in the series.

I will say this though, this is giving me Da Capo vibes, Not so much the anime, but more along the lines of the visual novel. This will probably make me emotional at the end if my vibe is true, but for now, I wait until next week.

Don't know if I can go through with watching this watery-eye anime, I wish Japan would stop releasing so much sad shit, I wonder, is it because of widespread depression in that region? I don't know.. but I'm sick of good anime being very depressing.

Anyways The first episode was very good, but if you have issues in your life and/or don't care for sad animes, please skip this one, animes like this don't have happy endings.

I remember being depressed when i younger (i have GAD and "was" susceptible to depression), I watched Elfen Lied, one of the worst mistakes of my life.

So far I like this, it kind of reminds me of angel beats. Looking forward to how the rest of the story goes.

But I have to disagree with the poster above, not all anime like this have a sad ending, take angel beats for example. It may have been sad in some parts, but it turned out happy in the end.

Thank goodness this episode ended in humor. Isla is my favorite. The little girl was too adorable. I can hear the feels train the distance...

well I just watched this one and it was getting more depressing as they were collecting the

It seem pretty good but I dont know if I can handle this type of story , its making me too emotional in a depressing way.
I dont want to feel that way....my neighbor's funeral service is today to...

anyway ,come to think of it with that kind of technological advancement , there is got to be a way to save the personality and memory if only in a virtual way.

Characters seem to be written well so far...but it Looks like the story s heading towards Isla's expiration ,,,, maybe.

I think the animation is pretty good though ...but that is not going to make me want to watch this .... if the story is going to make me depressed.
