Why do you think people like flowers?
What is it about them that grabs our attention?
Do you you like flowers?

I like flowers and flower arranging.

Flower is life.

You start as a bud, and (hopefully) grow into something beautiful, then you whither and die.

Maybe because its pretty? Each flower is different in colour and shape so each one will grab our attention. It gives a romantic feel to look at them. Not in romance in general but still. I think they are nice to look and draw but wouldn't say I am a fan of them.

I prefer the sakura trees.

But yeah, I agree with how Biggle put it.

I think flowers that are wet from morning dew smell nice.

I think the colors of flowers contrasting against the green stems and the way they attract bees smell may be why many people like flowers.

Flowers need to grab attention in order to be pollinated.
The result is a pretty flower.

Flowers are amazing; they're like symbols of life, youth and beauty.

Scientifically, flowers attract animals (including humans) by their fragrance, tempting the animal to eat the plant's fruits and spreading the seeds allowing the plant to increase their chances of survivability.

______________

Having said all that, I only like pretty looking flowers. don't like Australian flora, tbh, like this one... it looks like some sort of alien camera laser used to take out intruders.

Because millions of years of evolution have caused them to develop to appeal to animal instincts.

Flowers existed long before people. We are their slaves.

Australian plants are very popular here in Arizona. They can take full sun and little water but I think they look like giant weeds.

I love them because I grew up with my grandmother and father who grows them. Grandmother taught me about arranging them, and one time my dad took me to the public library where I stumbled upon the flowerology and floral pharmacology section. It has been a passionate interest of mine ever since.

I really like your explanation about them. Not only they're like a symbol of life, youth, and beauty, but they're also a symbol of nature.
