I get hayfever so I don't spend a lot time admiring flowers. They're great because they eventually turn into fruit and or seeds. I dislike the waste of cut flowers. I prefer them to be live on the plant/tree. It's funny how we give a plants sex organs as gifts.

The variety. You've got your roses and lilies that are commonplace and a household staple, but then on the other end of the spectrum you've got carnivorous flytraps, frisky bee-imitating orchids and gorgeous flowering cacti that bloom for only one night a year. Nature is cool beans.

We have a rose garden and a Japanese garden where I live.
I try to find blue flowers because they look cool to me.

I die a little bit inside when I see blue flowers. Blue > all.

I like looking at flowers that are in the ground like they are supposed to be but I'll never understand the obsession with giving people flowers as a gift.

i like them because they are pretty, have an interesting function, each one has a cool or weird meaning behind its name, and they can have interesting smells.

They're aesthetically pleasing to most. I love them, myself.

Probably because many are nice to look at. I don't know why, but they seem to make me feel calm

I used to raise orchids; the colors and shapes were fascinating. I had an Oncidium that was dark brown and smelled like chocolate that was really nice. I had a Vanilla vine that was fun to coax along, I could never get it to bloom, though. Mostly I raised Odontoglossum and Oncidium, Phalaenopsis and Paphiopedilums. The flowers on most of them never had any fragrance, that I could smell but the structure of them was interesting.

Now I just have some roses and other assorted plants.... an hydrangea bush, too.

I love flowers. I think their impermanence, fragrance (most of them), structure, and how fragile they are makes them beautiful. I always wanted some for Valentine's Day from someone I always got everything else but flowers! Ugh!!!

Flowers are restful to look at. They have neither emotions nor conflicts. After women, flowers are the most lovely thing God has given the world.

Flowers have many shapes, sizes, colors and smells. Most of them are very pleasing to look at. They can be used symbolically depending on their characteristics and history. Growing your own means you can see its progress from a seed to a little bud and finally to its full glory. With many flowers it takes a large amount of patience and perseverance to make them bloom properly, making it very satisfying to achieve.

There are a lot of other reasons but these are some of my personal ones. Personally, I like flowers quite a bit.

It's a tangible symbol of Mother Earth that You can hold in Your hand...Just like each of the Individuals here on Planet Earth, You see that certain Flowers and their Colors and symbols are quite alike to how individual and unique each of Us as People are.

Or...Something like that.
