If its a boy: Kaneki (Tokyo Ghoul) or Guts (Berserk) almost forgot Aikurō (Kill la Kill) and Roy (Macross)

If its a girl: Ryūko (Kill la Kill), Touka (Tokyo Ghoul), Dorothy (Big O), and Tomoko (Its not my fault that I'm not popular)

If it's a boy, I'd probably call him Bradley. After King Bradley from Fullmetal Alchemist. If he lived up to his namesake, no one would mess with him at school.

I would only do that if the situation fit one of two possible conditions. First if the father of the child was Japanese then I would feel comfortable using a Japanese name, or if the name sounded or was western I would use it. Other than that I don't think that I would use an obviously Japanese or anime name.

Saeko - I love how the name sounds to someone who is an English speaker (Psycho) and that the name itself means "Serene Child" in Japanese. The dichotomy is perfect. There's also Busujima Saeko.. nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggg! and done-nya.

Sakura - Who doesn't like Sakura blooms? It also means "rebirth"

Rin - I think there's different Kanji for the name, but the one I like is for "cold." I also love Rin from Kimi no Iru Machi so... god damn she's the only reason I read that. To me this name also does not sound culturally specific.

Shiki: Kara... No... Kyokai... 'nough said

Kaede: Meaning "maple" I just like the name.

Sora - Meaning "Sky" an amazing name. It also doesn't sound too culturally specific so it could be used by anyone.

I think it's a given that since I'm of European decent and if married anyone who wasn't of Japanese decent, I wouldn't be giving my kids Japanese names!
