I've always viewed old as being 60. I can't help but burst out laughing when 20-30 year olds claim they're old. When you've lived your total current lifespan another 2 or 3 times over we'll see if you still feel that way.

Old? To do what? A bunch of people that my wife goes on 100 mile bike rideswith are in their 70's. This summer she biked across Pennsylvania. This weekend I went to the funeral of a guy who was 90. He had gotten married to a widow two years ago -- when he was 88. You can do whatever your health allows you to do.

Like 90? I guess? don't really think there is a definite age you can say is 'old'... Sometimes I feel like you can only really get old when you give up on living. If that makes sense.

I don't define "old" by a number always. Personally I feel old becuase I have been through so much, and although my actual age is only 22 I feel like I have experienced more than some people older than me. Your mind can be old as well as your body >_<

Sort of as above, but more completely, it's not any set age; it varies by individual: Once you become cynical, no longer think that you can change the world, and are now just living from day to day; that's when you're old.

True. For instance something traumatic enough happens and a young person can become older mentally... and it becomes harder to feel like you're in control of your life and its "one day at a time"like A.A. But I think that sort of aging is sometimes more reversible than the physical kind...
but I think I understand what you were saying, we can be healthy and vibrant into old age if we don't slip in that mindset..

30s. You've basically had enough time to make a decent amount of mistakes by the time you hit your 30s. You start to sit back and you know how the game of life works.

Or, when you become a grandparent. Then you're officially an old fart.
