always thought my artistic skills and writing skills (novels) are subpar. and still do.

I take comfort in knowing I can write better dialogues than some of the writers who write certain anime dialogues.

Yes, for the most part. It all stemmed from my childhood really.

I also happen to be a perfectionist, which leads to a lot of procrastination which also leads to stress, last minute rush and crummy feelings because I feel like I didn't do as well as I could've. That said, I don't have much confidence in anything I do despite being told otherwise. For example, I worked with a writer who praised my writing and said it's often the good writers who don't think they're good. He went on to talk about how detrimental it can be to have that mindset. It can lead to a lot of things that can hold an individual back. He's spot on.

I don't know who that is or why you keep using her GIFs.
In some ways I don't want to know.
But tell me anyway.

Maria Odete Brito de Miranda, known as Gretchen (May 29, 1959 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a Brazilian singer. She became notorious as the Rainha do Bumbum ("Butt Queen") in the late 1970s when, after doing backing vocals for years, she appeared on a TV show and soon recorded her debut album, "Dance With Me". In 1980, 1981 and 1982, she released her three most successful albums: My Name Is Gretchen, You and Me, and Lonely. These three albums featured songs that became hallmarks in her career, such as "Freak Le Boom Boom", "Melô do Piripipi", "Conga Conga Conga". She sold more than 250 million albums worldwide.
Between 1980 and 1982, she grabbed the media's attention by making "sexy" music, while still enjoying popularity among children. After Lonely in 1982, she went on a downward spiral while trying to remain on the charts. Born as a Roman Catholic, she embraced the Protestant faith in the 1990s, and began singing Gospel music. By the end of the 1990s, her hits had returned to dance floors. With the emergence of Butt Music stars like Carla Perez, Gretchen was eventually recognized as a forerunner of the hip shakers. The compilation 20 Super Sucessos came out in 1998 on Copacabana/EMI.

I see, thanx.
I googled her "butt music".
It wasn't what I was expecting, not that I'm complaining.

Interesting. I always felt my writing were terrible due to my bad grammar and stupid floetry. I guess that is why I haven't actually written anything along with ADHD getting in the way.

Yes, but only because if I don't, I will start to slack off. Being unreasonable makes me reach my best.

I am a perfectionist when it comes to designing and manufacturing...
At the point where most ideas that I can sketch and design can be made, which is so satisfying. I'll get a bit annoyed if what I make does not reach my standards, but I never get worried or stressed over work. Just get it done

I'm aware of and respect my limits, but try to push them Usually I can tell beforehand whether I'll be able to pull something off and can alter my expectation based on that... I can be hard on myself in some respects, but as above, if you're critical of your own work it helps you improve no end!

Honestly, grammar is the least of my concern. Writing is about ideas. And expressing what you strongly believe in or felt inspired by.

You shouldn't let grammar make you feel terrible, after all that's what editors are for

Thank you. I don't know why I let grammar get to me when I write. Sometimes it goes beyond just grammar too. I suck when it comes to show don't tell in my stories. I am being hard on myself.
