Thank you. I don't know why I let grammar get to me when I write. Sometimes it goes beyond just grammar too. I suck when it comes to show don't tell in my stories. I am being hard on myself.

Every writer goes through that mentality, as a fellow writer, I used to feel the same way as you, qualeshia.

The important thing is to get yourself out of that mentality. Just write, take a step back and don't read your own writing until a month later. You will learn to appreciate what you write more that way, and then you can correct any flaws you have in your writing easier.

Thank you so much! Now all I need to do is come up with an idea and stick with it.

Hmmm, can't say I don't value myself enough nor can I say that I know what I'm worth.

I guess it comes down to common sense, do you really wanna die over something so pointless as an identity?

whoa wait we're gonna die if we're too hard on ourselves?

It depends on the situation. But most of the time no.

No, you're going to die if you don't care about yourself.

Yeah and it's annoying. Even when I've no doubt did good in something or accomplished something, I find the one thing I messed up on and keep remembering it later, forgetting what good I've done. What's even more annoying is that I wasn't like this before, so I want it to go away.

Sometimes we judge ourselves that way because we know that society will be more unkind to us. It's prepares a person from disappointment. However a person cannot remain the same, they can either grow or fall. I think more than anything, our fears are what limits us. what are your fears? What are you able to do without those fears? How much of those fears come from your mind?

So many question, it's worth answering.

Of course, since I was a child I was peer pressured by my parents but now its more of an obsession that has grown inside of me. My best is never good enough for myself.

People say I'm too hard on myself but I don't really see it.

Yes. Very much so. It's a really bad mentality that I try to suppress on a daily basis. I ask too much from myself.

Most people that know me think I am far to hard on myself. In my mind I see that as impossible. I remember all the failures I have and make a point to keep the major ones in my head. I am hard on myself for the purpose of bettering myself. My friends and coworkers hate it because they see it as low confidence and they are correct that way. But I better myself all the time and work hard all the time to improve because of it.
