Somewhat worried due to its virulence, but it's not readily transmittable through air even though it can technically be transmitted if an infected person sneezes near you (through the actual liquid spray projected by the sneeze, not through just air).

There have been records of an infected person coming into contact with hundreds of others but nobody else gets infected. The common cold is several times more infectious and spreads MUCH more easily, so there's that.

The ebola virus is a nasty bugger, though. Getting it and dying from it must really, really, really suck.

West nile , AIDS, ebola, all these feckun viruses....Thanks Africa... Never heard of one good thing that came from overthere....no food, hot chicks, no animation, no music no nothing, just depressing videos and pictures of little black kids with pot bellies and snot water coming down their noses . The Lion King was a great feckun movie though. Cheers to that!

Not worried about it. The only way to contract the disease is to be in direct contact with an infected persons bodily fluids. The virus does not transmit through air and people are only contagious when they are extremely ill with the virus ie: bed ridden.

Not yet anyway.

It's not like the ebola will wipe out humanity, it won't even be able to survive in northern environments because it has really low cold resistance. I can't imagine it surviving over the winter anywhere that has snow and sub zero degrees.

I remember the scares with SARS, Avian Flu, and West Nile years ago and those never really amounted to anything significant.

Luckily I just moved from Texas to Illinois, unluckily I might have no choice but to move back. It looks like a shitty way to die so honestly if I were to get diagnosed, I'd most likely kill myself.

Lol all you need to calm down.

Alarmist news reporting is alarmist.

Well we are a ,for the most part, clean country with good hospitals and sanitary working conditions.

I don't think it will spread like people are imagining in their head.

I'm not really worried about it. However since winter is around the corner and many people catch colds during this time, if the Ebola virus spreads it will be more of a concerned in people who are sick. The only thing we can do is just take precautions and carry around hand senitizer and just disinfect yourself when you get home. I feel more worried for those who work in hospitals and any other medical places because they catch those illness since they are always around them.

And if nothing works when or if this virus takes over the world then I'll just say my goodbye now to all of you
