I still have one in use, as Linux server.

That said, as long as it keeps running and doing the things you need it to do, why would you replace it?

I have an Athlon 64 X2 5050e 2.6ghz that I've been using since '09, combined with 4GB RAM and a GTX460 video card; I have a decent little gaming machine. I'm able to run Skyrim on high settings fairly well and BioShock Infinite runs well enough on high settings as well.

I think my XBMC CPU is. I know its a dual core Athlon, don't remember the socket... it has a 5000 series ati/amd vidcard, so it does most the heavy lifting.

Nope not using a dual core here. Got myself a nice little AMD 8150 chip. You know the not quite 8 core 8 core processor. Works just fine for me though.
