So I know many of the Avatar threads have been locked because the moderators claimed there to be an existing Avatar thread for general discussion, but I cannot find it no matter how much I search. I can find Avatar related threads, but whichever ones aren't locked usually are not threads meant for general discussion and are usually topic specific.

My question is can anyone link me to where the original Avatar the Last Airbender thread is on Crunchyroll?. Also, if you could link me to Legend of Korra's official thread, I'd appreciate it. If there is no longer one in existence, then I'd like to know the reasoning behind it (in the case where none exists and I get feedback here saying there is no reason, then I would like to start my own with promise that it will not get locked).

Thank you for your cooperation.

Hi! I think it's been a long time since any Avatar thread has been closed, or started --except for one that's specifically about favorite character, so do feel free to start a new discussion thread about Avatar: The Last Airbender.

There are existing discussion threads for Book 3 and the upcoming Book 4 of The Legend of Korra (as well as one very old one that's speculation about "beyond" Book 2). For ongoing discussion during the airing of current episodes, the Book 4 thread is most appropriate, and if that discussion ends up including conversation about earlier seasons that's great.

It would be okay to start a Legend of Korra All Seasons/"Books" thread as long as the opening post makes it clear that it's all-encompassing, but if you think discussion is going to be mostly about the new Book 4 season as it's happening, there's no point to having a more general thread at this time.

Here's a list of the existing, open, threads that I'm aware of.

http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-853519/the-legend-of-korra-book-3-change

http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-863561/favorite-character-from-avatar-the-last-airbender

BTW, we don't have "official" threads--we simply do have a policy against duplicate threads. When an existing thread gets old and no one has posted to it for a very long time, we do allow a new thread (and will usually close the old one at that time if we remember it's there or someone reports it). (For a few months last year we were automatically closing threads that had been inactive for 6 or more months, but we no longer do that and have not done so for quite a while).
