High school regrets?
Posted 10/4/14 , edited 10/4/14
In high school they had this thing called the "Pep Potty" at pep rallies, it was just a toilet that they would wheel around and open and it would say "CHEER" or some stupid thing like that. I've been an arrogant cynical asshole my whole life so naturally I ran all the way down from the bleachers and out onto the gym floor and picked it up like a half inch (lord almighty was it heavy, I thought for a second I wan't going to be able to move it and look like a huge idiot) and tipped it over on the ground and ran out the doors into the hallway. I got suspended.

What I regret about that is, EVERYONE knew who I was after that. It sucked because I hated everyone at high school and didn't like talking to people, and when I came back to school everyone wanted to talk to me about it, even the teachers were like, "Well HandTye, why don't you tell the class why you did it? Heh heh...." Agggh, just leave me alone. Ya'll lucky I didn't set this place on fire.

I regret GOING to prom. Not the food, the food was great. Well I didn't get to go with my first choice girl. Come to think of it, I didn't have a second or third choice. At the end I ended up going with a friend, but prom was just boring overall. Probably the most expensive plate of chicken breast and potatoes I've paid for :/ .

I regret taking guys to prom who didn't understand the meaning of "just friends". Pretty much ruined both of my proms.

Other than that, I regret not playing basketball all 4 years. I gave it up because my grades always fell some during the season and when you're an A student those Bs can really make a parent upset. Knowing what I do now, that getting a 4.0 in high school doesn't mean a whole lot in college, I wish I would've kept up with it because I truly loved playing basketball.

That's all I really regret. I have more regrets about college. Not because I did a lot of stupid stuff, but because I didn't enjoy and utilize it like I should have during my first degree. Now I'm on my second and I want to do the things I didn't the first time, but it's difficult with my bills. haha

I wish that when I was in high school i tried even a little bit. I went to the worst high school in my state and I passed without trying...I literally slept through all of my classes junior and senior year. I could have gotten straight A's with the minimalist of efforts...but I didn't try xD I still pulled a B average. Aside from that I wish I played sports year round instead of just going home...I would change those two things if I could redo high school.

I remember trying to go into so many fads just to "fit in" Plus, I knew an older classmate who was kind and was told that they liked me. I didn't realize til more than half of the end of the year that they were asking me out and they kept asking a lot. I couldn't say yes because I thought of them as a friend and due to certain reasons. I often joked around with it but wished I could have said sorry and I knew. One more is wishing I would have pushed myself to study more and actually stay in class.

I don't regret any of these but try to look at them as more of a "live and learn" experience.

No regrets here, 4 years getting out of class and rushing back home to play World of Warcraft. Good times.

-Going to MY OWN prom twice. It sucks! Especially with a class size of 59 and school size of about a little over 200. BTW: Prom isn't as great as what one would expect it to be. Overrated from my point of view.

-Screwing up on my midterms and finals on my Junior year and just first semester of Senior year. Pretty crucial point.

-Not doing my essays.

-Confessing to a girl too late, because by that point she had already waited too long for me to confess... I had a chance too, I just kept telling myself she doesn't like me but some other guy although her actions clearly showed interest towards me.

-Chasing after the same girl that rejected me. She was a tease; surprisingly she said yes to my prom asking but always ignored me but would always try to get my attention when I ignored her.

-OH! Regret not kissing a girl on my last graduation day because someone was cock blocking. We were going to do it too. (Not the same girl as the one above.)

-Trying a little harder with my academic studies since now I'm currently during a 2 year and transfer from a Community College to UC. Shit blows.....

Hey, I liked Prom. I went to four, and each one was fun.

I regret taking things too seriously. I found out in my senior year I spent too much time worrying about little things instead of enjoying the time with my friends or spending time with the girls I dated.

I always thought I'd regret not having a senior year and doing all of those activities but nope that feeling hasn't happened.

I do regret going out with a guy out of pity. Also maybe learning how to study.I always thought just getting A's would be fine but studying could have come in handy in college. I never learned how to study so I would just reread the chapters lol Um..other than that it was a blast. Probably the only time in my life where I was popular and liked by most lol. Now I just try to avoid people and try to end conversations with strangers.

If there's one thing I wish I could go back and do, it would be joining a sport. Besides that, I feel that pretty much everything else in highschool went ok but prom was somewhat boring.

My school was a cesspool of idiot's anyway. You could rarely learn anything not to mention I was smater than most, shit I've learned more on Reddit in 1 week than a whole year there. In my last year I just didn't bother going (had 11% attendance), I literally only came in for lunch time, got my food, and left. I just played Pokemon all day lol.

So yeah for me, no ragrats.
