Definitely brain dead. Because even though your heart stops, your brain will still function until it runs out of oxygen. Assuming the situation is like an accident or something. But either way, it's still brain dead.

Brain Death.

With heart failure you can still restore your brain functions and heart functions.

In brain death, everything has already shut down already and you will never be able to be normal again. Assuming you arent hooked up to a machine that is mechanically keeping you alive for the rest of your pitiful years.
