This.

The cockroaches looks so ridiculous that it's hard to take the anime seriously at all. The censorship just makes the fight look even more ridiculous. So far, there's has been little to no characterization either.

You know an anime is going to be bad when they try to establish a love triangle before you've managed to remember any of the characters names.

Lesson of the day: Don't watch Terra Formars. Starship Trooper does everything it tries to do but better.

They even censor better than Terra Formars:

At first I was pretty annoyed by it but I couldn't help laughing at it in the second episode when the black censor "bars" were jumping and dancing around the screen wildly near the end. I don't see any point in complaining about it though, I'm sure Crunchyroll would have it uncensored if they could, just like they did with Akame ga Kill!

All-in-all, I probably won't be continuing the series any further. I'm giving it another episode or two, though. Censorship aside, I'm sure I've watched much worse for much longer. Could be pretty decent, in an absurd way. It reminds me of the terrible giant bug movies I used to watch on cable TV around Halloween with the crappy effects and horrible acting. Those were always pretty entertaining to watch, despite the quality.

I'm not sure when this is airing, but judging by the excessive censoring it's probably not late at night, that means bigger audience. Then they can turn around and use that as marketing gimmick to sell the uncensored DVDs and BDs.

I wasn't really sold on the story, and I'm not into extremely gory imagery anyway, so I'm not in a fuss over it, but it was awkward looking while trying to watch.

they censor terraformers but Garo: Honoo no Kokuin can push the limits and get away with it with the naked guy with barely any censor and the obvious "sexual references" in the anime lol. Though i guess this seasons is about man service with all these fully nude uncensored man lol.

I admit that the Pupa-level censorship has turned me off to this show.

(Hmm. Both shows about bugs. Coincidence?)

Well that is what happens when you flat out skip most of the pages containing said characterization, which they totally did when they crammed 5 chapters into the first episode.

Hopefully that clears some of it up for everyone ^_^

lol That's freaking brilliant.

I would just like to thank you all for watching it before me and telling me. Now I don't have to waste my time trying to watch this.

Isn't most anime censored (if necessary) when first airing until the BDs come out? It shouldn't be a surprise.

Part of the problem is that the censoring is impressively bad to the point that you might as well be listening to a radio drama for some scenes.

I endured tokyo ghoul censoring so this one wasn't really surprised me in the least.
