(the shoe test is flawless!!)

The shoe test sometimes misses its target.

As for me, I just keep watching a show without any specific episode limit. I stop when the show starts to get boring/bad unless I have high hopes for a mind blowing ending. This is where Glasslip disappointed me... I watched 13 episodes of absolutely NOTHING! If a show is really good, I like to rewatch it later if I have time.

The way it works for me is I have to watch the entire series to decide if it's good or not. I just don't think three episodes are enough to really give an opinion on the show. Sometimes it can take a couple episodes for a show to get started.
Now if the show start dragging itself out and it feels like it's losing the charm it had, then I would probably stop watching it. It's kind of why I don't watch the Big Three, I have nothing against them, but they just seem to go on forever and lose a lot of the charm they had. It doesn't mean I think those shows are bad, but I do lose interest in them.

I'm pretty optimistic when it comes to shows. I'm also very stubborn. Generally speaking, I'll watch a show until it no longer interests me. However, once I reach a certain episode number, I feel obligated to finish a show even if I'm no longer interested because I'm hoping that it will get better or show me something that draws me back in.

I take a chance with 1-2 episodes, usually the 1st ep reels me in if not I drop it.

Are you asking whether I drop a show or how I tell if a show is good?
Honestly can't tell what the thread is asking...

If it's the first one, then never. I will finish what I start no matter what.
For the latter, then I have no answer. I don't have that great an idea of how to tell if something is "good" or "bad" (well, unless it's an absolute piece of crap, when it is obvious [MahouSensou]), I just either enjoy something or don't.

It really depends. There are flags that'll make me drop a show in less than one episode. For example: patently bad production values, patently bad writing, amounts of harem and fanservice shenanigans huge enough to make me feel like everything else is just an excuse to show boobs, and so on. Around the two-three episodes mark I start worrying about whether I have a feeling that the plot is going somewhere interesting, or if the jokes are actually funny to me if it's a comedy. It also depends on what else I am watching at that time, it might just be that an otherwise passable show gets dropped because I simply don't have time for it.

Put some money in a draw and check if it's still there two days later.

If I watch more than 1 episode and it goes in my queue then the show is good to me. If I watched 5 or 6 episodes but forgot to queue, it's still a good show. I just forgot to queue it.

It's really easy to pull me in I guess I could say.

I judge shows based on the first 2 episodes, if they are really slow or I just don't like the characters then I won't watch anymore.

I can't tell if a show is good, unless I finished it.

If I come home after a long day and I can't wait to sit down and watch it.

if it makes me laugh, cry or inspired, it's good.

if it makes me feel nothing... then it's bad. (talking about anime, not anything dirty here)

The standard for me is giving anime 3-4 episodes until I give my final judgement. Now if it were a long-running anime such as the big 3, I would give 10-20 episodes before I drop it.

I'll usually give it an episode, and if it still doesn't have my interest after 10-20 minutes I'll drop it. If I read it gets good I'll pick it back up and give it 2-3 episodes.
