I've seen a lot of rain, and I have developed a qualitative scale for it:

1 - Light Sprinkle
2 - Moderate Sprinkle
3 - Heavy Sprinkle
4 - Light Rain
5 - Moderate Rain
6 - Heavy Rain
7 - Wrath of God

I have been in a small handful of "Wrath of God" storms, which are solid sheets of rain, completely black skies with extensive lightning and thunder, large hail (golf ball or larger, with my record being a single softball sized hailstone I found after the storm), power failure, and active tornado alerts nearby. Naturally, I call a "Wrath of God" storm such because they're pretty frightening. I love storms, and usually I say the bigger the better, but there's a limit to that. That limit comes when people start getting hurt, and you've been hurt very badly.

I live in New Orleans. I'm sure most of you have at least heard about what happened in 2005. That was...painful, to say the least.

I was in the middle of the April 27 2011 tornado outbreak here in Alabama two town never me were leveled by an EF5. The only thing you can do my friend is drive on. Find a reason why you can't give up I spent the following days with the Fire Department doing mainly search and rescue type work, start putting the pieces back together now. You will never be the same person you were before, but hopefully this will make you a stronger person.

It may make you want to take steps, like getting car insurance and following the weather forcasts. (what's this virtual hugging XD:) It sounds like you had quite the fright. My condolences *huggles*

cool wish i'd been there. i LOVE crazy weather. even though it's dangerous and kills people. it's just amazing to me, all that power that nature can muster is really anything beyond what we can imagine.

never seen a tornado, but i was born during one of the worst hurricanes to hit the US east coast in modern history so

A couple of years ago I got off school because of a hurricane. The wind was blowing so bad that we couldn't even open the door, and my grandma's front yard got flooded.
