I make it sound like it happened today. But it was a long process. I technically was tricked about a week ago but i was giving the guy the benefit of the doubt but it's been long enough to let me know that i fell for a trick.
He fooled me fare and square, the internet is a scammy place i was being too trusting and i don't want anyone else to fall for something like this.
instead of me explaining i posted the conversation from my phone as proof.

Want me to take him out for you. As a fellow Imgurian, I feel it's my duty.

So you gave your address to stranger + he has your photo from the avatar.
Yes, hopefully it's only a scam. But still.
I would contact police just in case (you won't get your money back, and loosing money is last thing you should regret now... I mean, you are learned your lesson hard way to not trust strangers with your money, please be careful and don't learn hard way about not trusting strangers with your address and other personal info). So, be that formal thing, still, contact police, and of course tell your family too (instead of informing another crowd of strangers on this forum)

I have doubts that some guy on the internet is going to come and murder her. There's the matter of distance, finding out who's she's living with, is she armed, etc. That's too much work if the dude just wanted to murder somebody.

WHaaaaat in gods name are you talking about??
I think he would be EXTREMELY unfortunate to come to my house to murder me, i'm fully aware that IF he was to come into my house that i have to verbally warn him before i open fire/attack him. So i'd say something like "Hey look over here" and then *stab, stab, stab, stab* i have a lot of pent up anger that would help me work through defending myself :p

Generally people who do giveaways are able to do giveaways because they're given free items (be it makeup, games, consoles or clothing) due to their sponsors and/or popularity on the internet. These people have credibility. They've been reviewing games for a long time, built up a reputation, have an abundant amount of followers etc.

The video and channel for the giveaway itself honestly is a warning sign in itself. He's a nobody on YouTube and has only posted a small amount of viral videos - his subscribers come from those viral videos, and most likely a lot of them stemmed from his "giveaway" video. He has no credibility. He claims he's being generous for his "loyal subscribers", it's pretty easy to spot that as bullshit from faraway. He has 1 video of himself, and you never see his face. His messages and profile are also quite dodgy. He's doing it for his "loyal" 300 or so subscribers, but only has 25 followers on this Google+ account (most likely a fake account). He honestly kind of sounds like he's taking the piss in the beginning too. I'd report his channel because who knows how many others fell for it.

Giveaways are great and all, but it's never that easy. If it's easy, it's likely a scam. I know it can be tempting the idea of simply receiving an expensive item for free, but scammers use that desperation to extort people. Sorry you lost $25, but it could've been a lot worse, so let's at least be grateful it wasn't upwards of $100.

In the future, you should be a bit more weary and only gravitate to giveaway videos that look a little bit more like this.

I payed some guy for a modem that he never sent to me, way back in the Halo 2 days. A semi reliable "professional" Halo player (killer N) was a big name back in the day, and he recommended me to this guy for an "uncapped modem". I don't even remember what for. I think it was because my connection sucked or something. E exchanged a bunch of im's with this recommended dude, and sent him 75 dollars of my fathers money since I was like 15 or something.

Yeah I never got shit.
