On The Late Night with David Letterman last night, Hatsune Miku performed for the first time on live television. She sang "Sharing The World" by BIGHEAD, the theme song for MIKU EXPO 2014 NY&LA. They clearly used a new 3D model for her performance, which I'm obviously guessing is the one they'll use for MIKU EXPO. What do you guys think of it? And which model do you prefer? I LOVE this new model, and I think it's the best yet.

Here's a link to the performance: http://youtu.be/qA5pIpdQEr0

There is a different video with Letterman introducing (and outroducing) her. He looks not too happy. He may be smiling, but you can practically read his thoughts.

It's nice to see something like this, but it might not have been the best show for her in terms of reception, just due to the demographics.

I think this model is pretty nice, but Project Diva is still my favorite. I wish she had made her live US TV debut with Tell Your World. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_guf0zLiXY

not the best choice of song but I guess they wanted to make sure it was an english one.

I'm guessing Letterman was thinking "Yep....I'm too old for this"

I guess anime will get more popular next year. First Pharell now Letterman. They chose the right target demographic.

That song by which I mean the "singing" was garbage. Should've gone with jap as I doubt most even realize that's english.

Letterman has this "WTF?" kinda face in every shot of him haha! Well, he may not have liked it, but I've always enjoyed Miku's music ^_^

Besides, music doesn't have to be in English for me to enjoy it... half my collection is in Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Russian, German, French, Hindi -- heck, there's even some whale songs in there =P It all sounds fantastic to me, even if I don't speak the language =D

Her voice isn't really that squeaky. If you want squeaky, go hear lilypichu's voice on YouTube. Her voice was just a little too robotic in that song. There was a DJ in the backround who was probably screwing with the voice.

I still affirm my position that cheering for a screen is bad.

What about cheering for a screen with a cute girl with an annoying synthesised voice?
