first wall we gonna hit is the transistor and quantum tunneling one.

Not a few. every culture has an army, this means at every point in history, every culture was prepared to kill the others.
This would only lead to repetition as one culture is divided over a large area, effectively abandoning and killing their own.

Using technology, from any era, to kill "others" is not usually an attempt at whole scale global mass destruction (sans Hitler).

There are VERY few people or armies or governments that are in control who want to totally wipe out everyone on the face of the earth. They are addicted to control and they want more control, and they are willing to kill a few dozen or 100 or 500,000 people to get more control. Creating a technology that purposely kills everyone including themselves, is highly unlikely.

Therefore, to go back to your original post topic, the only way new technology (possibly nano-technology) will totally wipe us out is by sheer accident ... nefarious or not.

What I said earlier in this quote pyramid; wiping out other cultures to take over and replace them, then spreading over a large area creates new cultures that need to be wiped out despite being from the same source.

When one bomb hits another nation, dozens more will drop around the world in a matter of days. The world will become a nuclear wasteland in about a week, assuming the idiots pressing the red buttons are still alive by then.

By that logic, you don't need a cannon because you can erode the castle walls with enough arrows.

Completely different. Cannons and arrows only break sticks, stones, and occasionally people. Nuclear weapons cause radiation, damage the environment, leaves total destruction on a large scale, etc. The only thing that can top a nuclear bomb is some kind of weapon that creates black holes. Although only a suicidal maniac would willingly create something like that.

In case you hadn't noticed opening post was the height of tech not the current tech and being used for mass suicide
and the current hadron super collider could have made a black hole.

The OP was mostly about how you believe the height of technology will be weapons that kill people and cause mass destruction to the planet. I responded by saying we already have that kind of technology.

As for me, I think the height of technology (within the foreseeable future) will be space travel across the universe. We've been stuck on Earth and the moon for too long. When are we going to travel to Mars? That Mars rover is getting lonely up there!

It was more about how I believe weapons will continue to be developed until they are strong enough to destroy everyone.
How I believe tech in general is used to further this goal, even the rockets used for space travel are based on weapons and one of the most powerful weapons is floating in space, How tech is used at the least on a subconscious level by humans to kill humans and how the eventual downfall will be the magnum opus from the collected efforts of the entire human race.

And also what you think will be the best invention. and there it is.
