A few days ago I noticed the majority of newer videos would not play. The player loads, but the timestamp info in the bottom right hand corner of the player remains "-:-\-:-" forever, and the screen remains blank. It's odd because some videos do play but others will not.

Almost all of the new content suffers from this issue. On the front page under "Fall 2014 Simulcasts" the only videos that are playable are:
Terraformars : ep1 & and ep2
Chaika the Coffin Princess: Ep1
Akatsuku no Yona: Ep1

On the other hand most of the videos in that slideshow with the "watch now' button are playable.

TESTCASE: Yowapeda episode 36 plays. Yowapeda episode 37 does not. Does not matter how I access these videos. If i watch 36 and 37 attempts to autostart, it still behaves the same way.

Picture after 30 seconds of waiting for a video to load

Things I've tried:
* Right clicking video space and disabling "Hardware Video Acceleration, closing browser, reloading and retrying.
* Re-enabling the above,, closing browser, reloading and retrying.
* Clearing Chrome's cache and internet files as suggested in the trouble shooting guide, , closing browser, reloading and retrying.
* Clearing cache for the Adobe Flash installation manner, by following the instructions in the Video Trouble Shooting guide.(uncheck, confirm, closing browser, reloading and re-checking and retrying.)

Following the instructions for ping/routing etc :
Namespace Lookup:

Ping:

Trace Route:

All of the above look fine to me
.
* reseting Adobe Flash License files , closing browser, reloading and retrying.
* Disabling all extensions , closing browser, reloading and retrying.
* Restarting computer
* uninstalling chrome, reinstalling chrome
* Uninstalling Video Card Driver, Reinstalling Video Card Driver
* Trying firefox browser(yes I hate firefox enough to try everything else first)

My System:
windows 7 ultimate 64-bit
Chrome 38.0.2125.101 m
Flash Version(provided by Chrome): 15.0.0.152
Processor:Intel i7-3770K @ 3.5ghz
Graphics: Geforce 770 GTX
Ram: 16GB
Hard Drive: 128GB SSD, 8gb free

Everything was working fine last Thursday. I installed a new plugin for chrome since, but that is the only configuration change since(that I can think of, lets be honest =/ ) when it worked and when it did not, and i've since uninstalled, that and chrome, which did not resolve the issue.

Help =(

Since you're a Premium member, have you tried any of the other resolutions, or just your default resolution? I've come across a few videos that work fine in 720P, but not SD, just as an example.

If other resolutions work, I'd suggest /contacting customer support to report the specific episodes and resolutions that are not working for you. You'll get a quicker response that way than waiting for a forum reply.

Reducing resolution does not fix the issue. I did submit a ticket to customer service, but 48 hours later I've had no response, so I thought I would give the forum a try as well.

If Man_Of_Leisure did fix their issue, it looks like it was done by /contacting customer support directly.

The solution for me is to use firefox or create a new user for it to break after an episode (running chrome beta 64bit).
Really annoying.

This is still happening to me periodically. I tried killing all the chrome processes with the windows TaskManager and that actually worked once. I'm still not sure what is happening, and this time I can't seem to resolve it that way.

Support did contact me, and asked me to try a few things, but they didn't get a chance to offer a solution before the weekend. On monday they asked if it was working, and it was.So I'm not sure if something was changed on their end or what happened.

That's all I've got.

remon_, I'm not sure what you mean. The videos also do not play on firefox.

Guys if you're also having a similar issue do me a favor and try this:

See if you can watch Yowapeda 36 - I can
See if you can watch Yowapeda 37 - I cannot

I have no idea why i am able to watch 1 episode in a series, but not the next, but if you are having the exact same issue maybe we can figure something out because it seems to come and go, and the only thing I can come up with is that my browsing habits affect it.

I have been having this issue for a few weeks now. However watching vids works for me in Firefox and none of the videos load for me in Chrome. Not the older ones... I'll open a ticket with Crunchyroll and see if they can help. I'll let you guys know if they help me find anything useful.

Hi guys! I figured it out!

Crunchyroll support got back to me and suggested several things which I will paste below, however nothing they suggested fixed the issue with for. What fixed it for me was uninstalling chrome and reinstalling the 32-bit version. I had been using the 64-bit version for a few months and recently it had stopped working. Using pepperflash under 64-bit I got the error that we described above, and using Adobe Flash everything that tried to load flash crashed the plugin. After reinstalling 32-bit everything works just fine and I could play videos using either Pepperflash or Adobe Flash just fine. I hope this helps you guys!
