What it says on the tin.

Personally, I like 'trust but verify,' and 'hope for the best, plan for the worst.'

It's the quote on my page.

"As you think, so you shall become" - Bruce Lee.

Bruce Lee's philosophy was body, mind, spirit. I've been doing martial arts and studying Bruce Lee since I was a kid, but the part I love most about it is the philosophy that the mind is the strongest weapon people can possess. If you think you will succeed, you will succeed. If you think you are a failure, you will become a failure. Simple as that. You can work out the body all day and night, but the most important tool you have is the mind.

"Words, in my humble opinion, are our most inexhaustible source of magic; capable of both inflicting pain and remedying it" -Albus Dumbledore

"I don't know where this road will take me, but I am here for the ride" -Anonymous

"All the world is a stage and the men and women merely the players" -William Shakespeare

These are probably my favorite quotes. Being who we are, words have a way with resonating with us, for better or for worse. There are times where words can beat you down and times where they build you back up.

"I'd rather trust and regret, than doubt and regret."

"Being the best isn't all it's made out to be. When you're strong, you become arrogant and withdrawn. Even if what you sought after was your dream."

"People live their lives bound by what they accept as correct and true. That's how they define "reality". But what does it mean to be "correct" or "true"? Merely vague concepts… their "reality" may all be a mirage. Can we consider them to simply be living in their own world, shaped by their beliefs?"

"It is the nature of all living things to find some being greater than themselves and place their trust in that being, following it blindly. In order to escape from the pressure of that trust, those beings seek a still greater entity in which to believe, and those greater beings too seek still greater, still stronger beings to follow. This is how all kings come to be."

"There is no such thing as 'truth' or 'lies' in this world; there never has been. There is only plain, hard facts. And yet, all beings who exist in this world take only those 'facts' that are convenient to them, and take them to be the 'truth'. They do so because they know no other way to live. However, for those powerless beings that make up the majority of this world it is those 'facts' that are inconvenient for their own self-affirmation that make up the real 'truth'."

"Selfless duty calls for you to sacrifice your own spiritual needs for the needs of others."

"You're right, you are not me and you should not be me."

It is better to keep your mouth shut and be thought an idiot then to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Oh forgot an important saying. Remember hearing my principle when I was in 3rd grade in elementary school say this every day over announcements and it's always stuck with me. "Once a task you've once begun never finish till it's done, be it big or be it small, do it well or not at all"
