Think before you do, but if you have to overthink, it's best not to do.

"The limits you decide to impose upon yourself are an extension of your motivation. As long as you maintain determination to continue pushing yourself to progress forward and be harder than the rest, you will keep moving and nothing can stop you. Remember, excuses are a segment of the path to becoming a quitter, and that path is unidentifiable. When you march in blind fashion following the route forward, never checking your azimuth, in all likelihood you will become lost without even realizing you don't know where you are. Life is going to be painful, unforgiving and will not relent simply because you are unprepared or have ceased moving, no matter the reason. The rule of thumb is that a person can survive 4 weeks without food, 4 days without water and 4 minutes without oxygen. Without hope, an eternity will not be enough time to save you."

Not really a saying, a segment of a letter I received from an individual I have an extremely high amount of respect for. I was in a very bad situation and needed a kick in the ass. I quote lots of statements from that letter on a relatively frequent basis.

If I have to pick some one liners...

"If you don't have a cause you are willing to die for you will live your entire life in fear of the unknown and uncertain future that awaits us all."
-From that same letter

"The difference between a master and a beginner is that the master has failed more times than the beginner has even tried."
-I had a Drill Sergeant sound off with a statement of this effect often.
