Dumbest Horror Movies
Posted 10/11/14
I was watching Dead Silence the other night and it has to be one of the dumbest horror films I've seen.
The villain is some old witch who takes your tongue if you scream. Lame.

There are plenty of good horror movies, have it ever occured to you nay-sayers that it might not be the genre for you?
Just like some people (like myself), avoid romantic comedies like the plague.

There are of course those sort of movies that try so hard to do something different and end up repeating the same mistakes that so many directors have made before them.
The most recent one I can think of was the Carrie remake, although I think they called it out as another interpretation of the book, rather than a remake of the first movie, however they simply failed to deliver the intensity of the most memorable moments and it felt more like a tween-friendly suspense than a horror movie.

The Evil Dead movie was really boring in my opinion.
I have not seen the original ones, but I can only imagine they were better, because this one was just not funny nor scary at any point, it just felt like a supernatural torture porn thrill.

The american remake of the spanish "REC", "Quarantine" was really bad as well.
Perfect definition of overacting.
I swear once she starts hyperventilating, she never stops.
