Usually I binge Horror anime and the movie "The Craft" around Halloween time.
I am going to carve a pumpkin. I'm going to the pumpkin farm within the next few days, hopefully!~

I'm going to a haunted house this weekend. I MIGHT get to go to a friend's Halloween party but since she hasn't been answering my calls, I don't know. Hopefully yes. Also I might carve a pumpkin or two...

My kids did pumpkins with the push-in potato head parts. They love it & prefer it to actually carving the pumpkins. Fine by me as I'm awful at carving pumpkins.

On Halloween we go to my in-laws house & trick or treat with the kids in their neighborhood. It's safe, quiet roads and my in-laws are the people cooking hot dogs on their lawn handing out candy, cupcakes, hot dogs, & sodas to everyone.

It's my favorite holiday and favorite time of year ^.^ I don't think it's about scary stuff or horror or anything, I think it's really about enjoying the themes of October and the season, just like all holidays celebrate themes and set different feels for each season. and it's just fun, people dressing up in different costumes and such, fun decorations, etc.

Halloween is fun, I guess. I might go trick-or-treating. I like a lot of horror movies, and pumpkin carving isn't my best forte.

It's not really a big thing in England, although saying that, I've gradually been seeing supermarkets getting more stock over the years.

My town has this ritual every year where everybody dresses up as monsters and sings songs. Then they crown the Pumpkin King every year. For some reason, everybody stays in costume every day and the singing is nonstop. there's even this weird guy in town who we can't trust at all. I think his name is Oogie Boogie. It feels like we're in a movie sometimes.

I've been rewatching the show ghost hunt. I always drink a lot of pumpkin spice tea around this time of the year.:D. I would like to carve pumpkins this year, but I'm not sure if I will yet. I think I am going to try and go out to some haunted houses with a friend.

I used to get candy and hand it out to the kids that came by but they don't do that anymore.

The Community Church across the street is having "Trunk or Treat," (NoF'nS that IS what they are calling it.) A dubious sounding affair but I'm guessing they'll have a movie or two and some treats for the kids, that probably come out of a trunk....

They did show "Wreck-it Ralph" on one of the summertime movie nights they had.

One of these days I'm going to have to go over there and find out if they are John Birch-ers, Holy-rollers or quiet people. *LOL*

Halloween is Reformation Day for us Lutherans so the Catholics are supposed to come and try and scare us.... At least that was the tail I was told when I was a little kid.

When I was a kid it was almost like a pre-Christmas event, maybe like Chanukah for Protestants, we'd go all over the various neighborhoods in my home town and collect candy from the neighbors and friends and relatives . . . sometimes culminating in a pot luck at Grandma's or someone else's place.
The streets were awash with kids in costume.... In a town of 30,000, that's a lot of kids.
Haven't seen anything like it since about 1985.

I like Halloween. ^-^ I'm trying to plan something fun with friends because I feel like the holiday just has too much awesome potential to let it go to waste.
