My high school has a Manga Club which they named the SOS Brigade (whatever that stands for). Our "founder" (people in the past tried to start the manga club but he was the first to succeed) was president by default the first year but really wasn't a good speaker or knew how to run a club and we had 100+ people sign up so it was hard to watch when he made announcements and no one took him seriously. However this year we have a senior president and junior vice president and I'll probably run for treasurer or secretary since I don't really want to lead a bunch of proud, self-proclaimed otakus. *shudder* It basically is an anime club but is under the context as a manga club so we get the library. Meeting once a month is inconvenient so myself, the Pres. and VPres., and a few others are going to arrange weekly meetings and unveil it at the next meet so it can feel more like a club and people can participate more in events like creating their own manga or something.

I feel like I gave my club's life story lol.

Our school doesn't even have clubs. I don't even think there is a school in Oslo that has clubs.

When I was at school there only had a few sport clubs and the choir, that's it. I didn't see any in College or Uni.

I doubt that the university I attend has one. My school has sorority organizations though like DELTA since our university is a historically Black College. However I'm not a membet of any of those clubs.

Yeah, mine does, but its full of people that fits the image of what Japanese people think of when they hear the word "Otaku". And I am not going to lie, its kinda creepy so I never joined.

My college doesn't have an anime club as far as I know, I haven't attempted to find out. My high school had an anime club though.

My university does but they didn't do anything that I don't do at home so I didn't join. I don't tend to get on well with other anime fans anyway.

My anime club is cool. But I've seen so much at this point, that there isn't a single thing we've watched in the club that I haven't seen previously... It feels like I'm wasting my time a bit. One of these days we'll watch something obscure. I just know it lol

I really wish we also had a set amount of time allotted for discussion. I went there to make friends, but it's not very productive when a lot of the activity is just kind of a watch-and-leave situation.
