My high school does, they meet at the library. I don't go to it though because I don't really know any of them and I only have one other good friend who likes anime. I've always wanted to go check it out though.

I started an Anime Club at my High School. That was back in 2006 - 2007. We used to meet every friday after school from about 2:30 to 4:30 (now that i look back on it i nearly spent 10 hours at school on fridays >.<) and just watch anime and play games. From what I heard, the club still exist but its during the lunch hour and they can do as much stuff as we did.

I have one at my school but I've never really thought of joining it because the people who are in it aren't the type of people I normally socialize with. Even if I did hang out with them it seems like they would just watch AoT or other popular shows and not the old gems.

Yeah, my university has one. Technically it's for "appreciation of Japanese culture" but that's just to make it sound better than "anime club". I'm not a part of it though. After browsing their blog, nothing stood out to me as being something that I have a strong desire to be a part of.

Sure, I'd love some more friends who are into anime, but my experiences in high school with an anime club weren't to my liking. I can't handle people who are very hyper and talk loudly about (and act out!) the latest manga chapter or anime episode they happened across, and those are the kind of people that made up that club. They were all wonderfully kind people and I liked them quite a bit, but it was just too much for me to handle and I left each meeting needing a nap. We also rarely even watched anime, or discussed anime, so my whole purpose for joining (to watch and discuss anime) was defeated. Each meeting was chaotic and random even though we had agendas for meetings that we outlined at the beginning of each month. We rarely stuck to it so it ended up just being something to give the club some kind of legitimacy.

I don't want to have to pay university club fees just to go through that again. Not to mention the meeting times are pretty late at night and I need some sleep before early morning classes.

We don't have an anime club, but really you can just make any anime reference and 20 people will turn their heads and say "YOU WATCH THAT ANIME TOO!!" like in my technical theater class like almost everyone watches anime.

Plus I can do without one because most of my friends already watch anime and talk about ti during lunch. Like yesterday we had a very heated conversation of OTPs, and shippings. It was crazy man.

Both high schools I went to did, but my college did not. I went to a small college and we had clubs, but I only meant one person who was into anime, but they only watched stuff that's like on Adult Swim so, I spent my time there...anime-less.

It was also sad that almost no one watched anything that wasn't Naruto or Bleach, even though we have one of the biggest conventions in the Northeast.

GAMMA CLUB, game and anime.
I remember the club's reactions when I told them to watch Boku No Pico.
Priceless

Nah

One was attempted to be made I think two years ago. Only like 10 people signed up (which is still a good amount) but the person who wanted to start the club didn't have a lot of time and drive to actually start the club, and not enough of the people who signed up had motivation to try and establish the club.

Im on the e-board of my Japanese Audio, Video, and Culture Association (JAVCA) which is pretty much anime club. I havent run for any important position yet but I'm one of the higher up ppl that decide on themes and activities for our weekly meetings. it is super fun >.<

Sadly I don't think my college does. I've searched and searched but to no avail. I'm thinking of actually just starting an anime club page for my school on facebook but not sure. Does anyone think that's a good idea?

Nope, but a Latin teacher in my high school wants/wanted to start one. Don't know what happened.
