Not that I know of. If my college does I doubt it will accept people who take night classes.

They do. But I found some of the representatives annoying. And I don't see the point of gathering to watch anime when I can watch whichever anime I want at whatever time I want.

My high school did, but everyone there basically just argued about who watched the most anime all the time.
"You haven't seen this? Then I guess you're not a real anime fan."
It was really annoying...

My college has one, but I haven't gone there in a while since my upper-division classes got more difficult and time-consuming. It's a pretty neat club though. We've watched a lot of good shows like Sakamichi no Apollon and Penguindrum there.

They do have it in my high school but my friend joined it and then told me that it was boring, and eventually she quit.

My sentiments exactly. Even though I am a member of my college's anime club, my class schedule prevents me from attending all the meetings, but even if I were free, I still probably won't attend one. It's not that I have no respect for the club, since I know some of the members and they're all good people, but because all they do there is watch anime together and occasionally talk about upcoming anime conventions (went to Comic-con ). My tastes in anime is very selective and I can always watch them in the comfort of my dorm whenever I want. Instead, I would rather if the club would partake in other activities such as holding discussions about a particular series, anime debates, manga art contests, promoting series and more.

My high school has a Manga Club which they named the SOS Brigade (whatever that stands for). Our "founder" (people in the past tried to start the manga club but he was the first to succeed) was president by default the first year but really wasn't a good speaker or knew how to run a club and we had 100+ people sign up so it was hard to watch when he made announcements and no one took him seriously. However this year we have a senior president and junior vice president and I'll probably run for treasurer or secretary since I don't really want to lead a bunch of proud, self-proclaimed otakus. *shudder* It basically is an anime club but is under the context as a manga club so we get the library. Meeting once a month is inconvenient so myself, the Pres. and VPres., and a few others are going to arrange weekly meetings and unveil it at the next meet so it can feel more like a club and people can participate more in events like creating their own manga or something.

I feel like I gave my club's life story lol.

The SOS Brigade? That club screams weeb with that name. XD

No my school never did have an anime club but even if they did I probably would not join since I was already in Marching Band and was in the theater club. I would make a cosplay/costuming club though.

The founder was in love with Haruhi >_> Can't say the same for everyone else in the club but it was the only manga/anime club in the school. He won't be president this year, that's already been voted upon. Maybe we'll be able to change the name to something "normal" lol.

Well I assumed everyone was not like that. I would name it something like A.M.A club (Anime and Manga Appreciation club). I don't know, just throwing an idea.

I actually like that or the AM Club (Anime & Manga Club). I'm gonna steal your idea if we decide on a new name! Thanks

My high school had a Japanese culture/anime club, and I was in it for 4 years. I was really good friends with the officers and my best friends were in it with me too. My college has an Asian Pop Culture Club, so that's sometime the topic, but I don't know a lot of people and less people are coming to the meetings
