I dunno why, Elfen Lied was such a good anime. Depressing but good

This anime was known as non other than...

Without clicking that spoiler I already knew it was going to be School Days. It's what I would do but for a completely different reason.

And welcome to the anime world!

I guess the main appeal of Anime is the diversity of the stories, characters, plots, twists, and limitations that don't apply to animation you just can't get in live-action shows and movie like here in the United States. The movies and TV shows are so shallow and superficial they're all just rehashes of the same thing over and over again.

It really doesn't get much truer than that. I stopped watching TV because I was enjoying what Crunchyroll had more than anything else. I've seen so much anime, yet I've also seen so little. I have a list of shows I need to watch that are just as long if not longer than the shows I've already finished.

Also, devils may actually be good people at heart and supposed saints and angels are twisted and insane. Don't judge people by their labels that's for sure.

But example of that is probably High School DXD, despite all it's ecchi-ness.

I've been able to do that recently, my long term goal is watch an entire show without reading subtitles!

I agree 100%. Just looking at my list you can see where I went on a streak for a certain genre, and then completely flipped the switch.

The best example I have would probably be when I started Clannad.

- Clannad 49/49 + OVA
- Inu x Boku Secret Service 12/12
- Nagi no Asukara (Nagi-Asu: A Lull in the Sea) 26/26
- Blue Exorcist 25/25
- Psycho-Pass 22/22

PS. I was looking for the anime related to your profile gif for months. Finally found it, and loved it.

It's a pretty awesome time now to get into Anime. Its so accessible with online streaming services and tons of shows get DVD releases in full boxed sets so there is plenty to watch and check out. If i'd started getting into Anime now i would have loved it. When i first started to hardcore get into Anime around age 10-11 it was just a few series on VHS and they were all individual volumes with 2 episodes on them usually. I started out renting a lot from a local video store that had some Anime i think i watched their entire stock at least twice XD. Used to be really expensive to watch an entire series especially if it were fansubs like £40 a tape for some series but you got more episodes a tape at least >.<

Recently, I've suddenly been addicted to anime. I've always liked it, but for some reason I never really branched out in terms of variety. Back when I was 8, I'd watched the likes of Dragonball/Z/GT but then never really understood the whole anime culture. Then through an AMV, I started watching Naruto about 6 years ago and that was my only source of anime. Up until this year, I'd watched a couple of others such as High School of the Dead and Elfen Lied, though this was mainly out of intrigue due to the infamous reputations both had. At the start of the year, I decided to branch out a little more and started watching the likes of Fruits Basket, Shiki and Strike Witches.

However, due to a slight boredom in gaming, I subscribed to Crunchyroll on the 30th August and due to a bit of free time I've had, I've managed to binge myself and have watched about 35 different anime's since then The list is growing each day!

My friends think I need an intervention, but who am I to complain? I love it!

So i guess you could say that I've only really become a true anime fan recently!

IMO you guys might want to take your time watching this stuff. Don't watch so much you get burnt out!

Dentez: see you've not yet been initiated in the mysteries of Oyashiro-sama. If you really want to jump into the Deep End, seek Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. Unfortunately it's not available on Crunchyroll .

It's okay, I have another source I only use it when a show isn't on CR.
I'll give the show a try.

Nah, you don't have to get that far before you start to not give a shit :P
I'm at 543 and I already have a pretty meh attitude towards anime. I prefer manga these days.

And OP, you must've gone to a shitty free site then. All the free sites I've tried have been good to me I stick to one these days though. (Yeah, I said it. Umad?)
Also there's this thing called "downloading"

I slipped my mind at the time. Every time I saw you comment on the forums or a video, I knew I had to ask you, but I was too busy laughing at your gif, lol... Once I saw the scene from Toradora, I shouted "That's Triumph's gif!" I then proceeded to play back the scene five more times.

I was watching it on my phone, that's why it kept freezing. It probably didn't help that I was using my jobs internet either.
Oh and by freezing I mean the frame was frozen, but the audio was still playing.

Ah no wonder it lagged, most sites loads slow on phone, consoles and anything other than PC. And definitly loads slow on bad internet :P
Hmm that might just be horrible encoding though
