Episode 4

Ends the Florida arc in 16 chapters .volume 7 to 9. .It was short and sweet, I really enjoyed his progression in these chapters.

I told my sport surgeon friend at work to tell me when and where his young son competes becuase I want to see how his son plays and see an actual a junior competition .Her son is slowly going up in ranks just like our Baby Steps Ei-chan

EP 4 "Awakening to Simplicity"

Ei- Chan wins over Alex but gets a cramp. The animation is just so good! Kinda sad to see him leave Flrida but skiils / memories and friernds were made !

They played hard and both learned lessons!

Great court action

The eyes

Great Sportsmanship

Marcia telling Ei-Chan you better be a pro

I liked this Arc / Thanks Florida

The notes that are treasures

Episode 5

Well it's about time Eiichirou return to Japan. I kinda missed his connection with Natsu in this series.

Also really nice to see Takuma compete on the courts again. I also have to say that Eiichirou is doing much better than his first match against him. Good episode overall. Can't wait to see others compete later this season.

Edit: welp, I noticed that Natsu had a ponytail when she was younger

Did the animation, voice acting, storyboard, and his NOTES seem really freaking LAZY to anyone else?

They must be saving their budget for more "romance" important matches.

One of the things I like about Nat-chan is that she's so straightforward...even in situations like this.

In any case, I'm looking forward to Maruo's future matches. If his time in America helped him improve against Takuma this much, then I really want to see how he'll do against other players.

She is awesome cuz she is so straightforward i didn't expect that to happen LOL. I can't wait for Mauro to go against more people and get more experience be that OP player he meant to be.

Awwwww, Natsu and Eichiro were soooooo close until Takuma appeared. I was getting so giddy, too. :D

On another note, the comment section under each individual episode of the anime released this weekend has been temporarily disabled. That's annoying.

It's a 2 cour second season so likely they will annoy us for a while longer before they have a full confession but I think it is coming :)

News article comments are busted too. Crunchyroll please...

EP 5 Takuma's Decision

It's back home and they waste no time in exploring Ei-Chan / Natsu's relationship ! Also Takuma's past with Natsu / Ike > Especially Ike since he Ike got prmoted over him as a better tennis player! Well at least Ei-Chan has improved so much it's impressed Takuma!

A lot about Takuma / great timing / The past with IKe / basically a good bye wave to Natsu!

I've been loving Baby Steps -- didn't know it existed until recently. I've watched (or attempted to watch) several sports anime before but, while I do occasionally watch an episode of Yowapeda, I haven't been excited for a sports anime in a long time.

This most recent episode "Takuma's Decison" threw me off and I was glad to see the character development between Eiicharu and Natsu that the opening and closing credits have always promised. I really like how earnest she is as a character -- very genuine feeling and kind.

I thought introducing the American guys (well international mix was interesting) but I'm glad nothing stretched out too long there. You can only form a certain level of relationship in two weeks and I didn't want drama spanning cross-country.

Episode 6

Yay, Aki debuted. I look forward to more of her roles this season.

And as for Eiichirou, it looks like he's been hitting the gym huh? Better work those muscles to impress the ladies; err, I mean, improve so that he can win future matches.

Woooow, Natsu certainly is whiny isn't she.

Yea, I BET you are first seed. Yep, certainly look like it too. Sheesh. I thought Ei was a huge pervert during that scene with the slow pan of her backside, then I realized, nope, he is pure, must be my imagination.

I will never understand your dislike for Natsu. But, yeah, I wasn't too happy about that jealousy seeping out. And pure Ei was definitely checking out the backside of that ditzy redhead. I will be annoyed if the show plays too much with love rivalry at this stage. Stupid romance tropes.
