Sora No Otoshimono....

Someone had to bring it up.

The "Final" movie for this series. They butchered it. Plain and simple.

Off the top of my head...

I liked Oreimo before its demise toward the end of the second season and the specials. H20 ~Footprints in the Sand~ may have the worst final episode of any anime I have seen, but it was only "good" or "okay" before then. There have been others before that have disappointed me in various ways with their endings.

However, for me the one case where I can say that I really liked the anime before its ending is the original Fullmetal Alchemist. I was thoroughly impressed with the first 49 or so episodes, but those last 2 or 3 really left me disappointed.

Fromthe 90s:

Escaflowne- so many plot points were just ignored leaving a lot of loose ends and questions. Forgivable in that the show was to be longer but the studio cut it short with little warning, forcing the creative team to bumrush it.

Of course, still not as bad as Evangelion. Neither ending made sense there.

More recently, while most of it was ok, I didnt like the way Scrapped Princess just killed off Cz at the very end. Kinda felt it undid a lot of the character development.

Rosario + Vampire 1st season. (the 2nd season didn't exist... it didn't...) One MINOR change in the end from the manga and I knew the anime was going to go down hill. And the manga was soooo good too! So much potential...

Wolf's Reign. The anime was good. The ending was good for the effect they wanted... but WHYYYYyyyy... *cries*

Brunhyldr in the Darkness. The ending was so rushed, and so anticlimactic for the devistation that happened in the manga.... they should have kept it for another season and did it right. And with what they cut out, the after credits think make absolutely NO sense. It wouldn't be possible.

I read a lot of people didn't like Death Note's ending, but I think it matches perfectly the foreboding from when Light met Ryuk and agreed to using the Death Note dispite what Ryuk said would happen in the end. I think that ending it with the death of L would have been disappointing.
