If you want to train someone to run faster and shoot more accurately don't train them, train spiders to chase them.

Whoever manages to turn the spiders against one another is the real winner. And they should do so without the aid of performance enhancing substances if they would seek to gain sportsmanship and honor in their victory.

If you want to use spiders to see how fast someone can run. Find the biggest, hairiest, most venomous spiders with the largest fangs that you can possible find. Then attach something to their body or shoes to attract the spiders and then you will see how fast someone can really run.

Just use the yearly average of each athlete's performance, then.
Sure, I guess that'd be hard to keep track of, and a lot less enjoyable to watch, but since it doesn't really affect me at all much, that's what I would go for. In the end, using performance enhancers year-round is a lot more taxing than for a single competition.

...am I the only one who thinks this way?

When competing against humans, spiders should be allowed to use performance enhancers to level the playing field.
