The article did not mention of a confirmed anime production for final season at all. It only mentions Tsukimonogatari novel which states no anime adaptation directly.

It's not even a rumor considering there's no legitimate source.

The article did not mention of an anime production. What are you talking about?

I must be reading wrong then. That or Google translate is inventing words now.

Don't rely on Google Translate...it can be highly inaccurate.

An important news like this would of been reported by ANN now. There is no confirmation of a TV series adaptation of the final season at the moment. This looks like it's just a rumor.

Well there is the very old news from 2012 that the entire series would be adapted but that is not a greenlight announcement. ANN referred to it again in a recent article.

Title should be changed to Tsukimonogatari. It is only confirmed they are adaptation that season so far rather than the entire remainder of the novels. It's like one of those entries for Nekomonogatari or Hanamonogatari.

http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2014/10/19-1/tsukimonogatari-anime-adaptation-confirmed

It is not technically even green-lit yet and it is not adapting the entire novel right now so title is misleading.

News update:

It will debut 4 episodes all at once (similar case for Hanamonogatari and Nekomonogatari)

Huh, so Tsuki's getting its own OVA series?

That was a pretty cool novel, from what I remember. It'll be fun to watch.

This franchise might cost close to $1000 in its entirety when all is said and done.

Current costs:
Bakemonogatari—$149.98
Nisemonogatari—$119.98
Nekomongatari: Kuro—$49.98

Monogatari Series: Second Season
*Nekomonogatari: White—$59.98
*Kabukimonogatari—$49.98
*Otorimonogatari—$49.98
*Onimonogatari—$49.98
*Koimonogatari—$49.98 (estimated)

Expected total for all current releases: $579.84
(Source)

If Aniplex continues to maintain it's current pricing model (they will), we're looking at Tsukimonogatari+4 more arcs and Kizumonogatari (if it ever happens). Depending on how long the remaining arcs are and how many episodes it takes to adapt them, we're probably look at (minimum) another $200 for the remaining arcs plus however much they decide to charge for the movie. That alone will most likely push costs over $800. In the likely event that the 4 arcs beyond Tsukimonogatari are longer than 4 episodes (~1 BD release) each, costs will likely rise even higher.

Unfortunately, they can charge pretty much anything they want and I'll still buy it. Even if they raise prices, a few months without food is no big deal -- I'll just need to develop photosynthesis, Sidonia-style. It can't be that hard.
