Finally got to see it.

Personally, I think it would have been a much better movie if Nico had the starring role.

As it is, with so much time given to her back-up singers, I give it...2/10

Well, Nico having the star role is something that will make any movie better.

I give it an 8/10 though. Really loved that first half.

Hey, didn't think I'd make it to September.

Is a subbed version out yet?

My copy arrived earlier this week. The DVD and Blu-ray are region free and have English subtitles. I really hope CR is able to get streaming rights.

Great movie. Watched the whole thing with a big smile on my face. I wish Muse would come back for more but it was good closure for the series.

Movie is not 'out'. You really should call it what it is. It was ripped and uploaded, same as all other Blurays.

LoveLive has ALWAYS had English subs on it. The TV series did too, not really sure why NISA bothers. So someone was nice enough to upload the sub track for you as well. No one even had to fansub this one, just a straight fanrip.

I got my copy the week it came out. Beautiful, but sad... will rewatch it many, many times. The bonus disc contains one of the fan meetings on their tour and the funny movie manners CMs. Also a bonus CD with the sad farewell song Kore Kara.

Got my copy in the mail earlier today and just finished my first watch.

I didn't really find it sad for the most part (the ending of the second season already had me broken up). It felt like a nice celebration of everything Love Live was about. It could have easily been a cash grab and still didn't feel totally necessary (well, not necessary had the second season ended 30 seconds earlier anyway) but it actually did feel like they did a great job regardless.

All told, it pretty much is something for the Love Live fans only but if you fit into that category you're sure to enjoy it.

Finished the movie today. Oh man, it's so wonderful seeing all the members of Muse again in this. I mean, even the first few minutes of mini Honoka was cute.

I really liked the city feeling of this episode from overseas as it feels different. Lol, the hotel part was funny as well with the confusion.
Nico's llama dream also cracked me up. The card game was also amusing. In general, the comedy was pretty well done.

The English was okay. The songs were great, loved the ones in the first half especially a few of the solos but the group performances were great as well.

Girls also looked great in those colorful outfits~

Nico looked fabulous in those sunglasses. I really liked a lot of the choreography and character expressions in the movie as well. Sunrise put quite a bit of budget into the movie and the creativity was fairly good. Although overall, I feel the story was lacking a bit. Still a very enjoyable movie. 8.5/10. Season 3 when?

Season 3 of Muse... never unless they change their minds. The movie was the last of Muse to be animated. Their last single comes out March 2nd, their last big concert March 31/April 1:

However, there is a new LoveLive group and project, Aqours in Sunshine, new school and location:

Surely they will have an anime sooner rather than later but without Honoka and Nico and the rest of Muse.

No wonder this will be the last of Muse ever being animated. Didn't anyone notice?

Everyone died in the middle of "Love Live! The School Idol Movie" ....

Although it isn't said, you can easily see how the plane crashed as Muse was coming back from America.

ITEM : Honoka's initial recollection (dream?) of jumping over the "pond" and "crashing" before reaching her friends was foreshadowing and metaphor.

ITEM : Honoka gets lost and meets a ghost-like woman that leaves her with an artifact from another world, which obviously needs returning... it returned when Honoka perished in the crash.

ITEM : Honoka's sister and Eri's sister talk of the "legendary" school idol group, toward the end, as if they were already gone and merely a memory.

ITEM : The entire feel of reality shifts completely after the flight home--suddenly they can dance in the streets of Akihabara without a permit, conducting thousands of girls without one bitch fight, doing a major dance routine with thousands of girls without any traffic or onlookers, making thousands of outfits for these girls, etc.

ITEM : The final musical piece, with them unraveling from a flower, or whatever, has no bearing on reality. It is a fantasy from the afterlife.

ITEM : Sudden success when landing: how did this happen so fast? NO! They were in heaven where they imagined and lived their own apotheosis as school idols, despite such success never building so fast within the real world.

The lighting also changes after the crash.
