I would love to go to a race track and be part of a car club.

Cars are nice but motorcycles are a lot more fun, cheaper, more involved (I could lean in my car seat all day but that wouldn't effect it's handling, a motorcycle on the other hand)... yeah it's more risk but there's nothing like hanging off the side of something that's basically two wheels and a motor.

yeah but a small mistake in a car is a small mistake, and on a bike a small mistake is a face full of concrete.

I've made a lot of small mistakes on my bike... locked up the rear tire a dozen times, almost laid it down in a round-a-about (too much lean, not enough throttle), I caught my foot under the pegs in a couple of corners, there was that time I had a lowside (knobbies don't like stopping in the wet) but not once did I get a face full of concrete. If you get on a bike, prepare to fall, it happens, that's why I always wear my gear and keep a clear head. It's a huge risk but the rewards are worth it. It's like therapy and it even boosts my confidence. Cars are nice but's there's always a car that's faster than yours (on the street or track), on a bike, you're faster than almost any car that pulls up alongside you.

I prefer to actually have fun in my cars, not just make them look pretty to the point where they are useless.

Ignorant statement.....LOL not a fan of those.

I am pretty sure op has fun in his car....and it probably still runs so wouldn't call it useless, although it is pretty as you said. Its one thing to "not be a fan" of a particular style or even a specific persons car for specific reasons but its petty to try and talk down about someone elses car, style, preferences the way you did.

On the other hand i think its awesome you track your car. Can see you are a fan of the midship which is great for autocross. mr2 is probably the most easily obtainable one. nice sw20,

I have seen about 3 hellaflush cars get destroyed just because they where driving on the freeway at the speed limit. Their tries were scraping and rubbing so bad on the fenders that they where cutting into the tires till it exploded. Which then made them hit other cars or into the guard rails.

One of my friends cars was hit when some 240 in front of him blew out his tire and slammed into him.

I seen 2 hellaflush cars get damaged while doing autox. Another 240 had its front fender rip off and damage his innercooler, due to a blow out, another lost 3 tires while parked after a running a lap.

A friend of mine, that's into hellaflush showed me a competition for hellaflush cars going in/out of a parking lot to the street. The whole point was to see which one can do it as fast as possible with no damaging their cars. Most of these cars took 2 minutes to get out of a simple drive way.

so yeah. I do talk down to every hellaflush car I see.

All I've owned is a fiat punto mk2

Honestly, I'm not the biggest enthusiast but I do like cars. I'd love a mazda rx-7 fc...Toyota MR2 (91-3)...We'll see! I just don't really know a lot about cars in terms of performance or parts etc.

There are over 3 million bad drivers in California. There is no way I am getting on a bike.

I have multiple cars. Some are generic. Got an Astra, Beretta, old Sunbird, an Acadian. Mostly for sentimental value, and a whole bunch of work tuning and tweaking. Buy my real specials are the VR6, the 64, and a trio of ol honda bikes. This is a topic I really can get into too much! Edit: Spoilered cause some pics are pretty big... sorry, cannot resize in HTML?

VR6 GTI. One of only 65 built with this color combo.

The Astra, my daily driver, not much special about it. Got it because it was a 2dr, manual transmission hatchback, but came with factory upgraded brakes, suspension and quick ratio steering compared to the equal price ranged competitors. (ignore the bugs on the front)

Behind it in that picture, my Sunbird. I loved these cars for as long as I can remember, something nice about the styles. So needed a car, and this one was available cheap. Has served me very well over years which is soon getting a full rebuild.

The 64 Pontiac. You can see in the corner the 79 280zx I was prepping to work on, but situations delayed that. Rust had gotten into structure (of the datsun) so it got crushed (the datsun) but the powertrain and most of it is saved for when I find another one.

The Hondas. I let a friend take the Nighthawk for a spin that day and snapped these pics out and about. The second Nighthawk picture was shortly after I got it running and one of my favorites of the bike.

While I rode the CBX

This is my first bike...

But at the moment is this...

I prefer something in rough shape and reviving them as opposed to the flavour of the month. My Acadian got T-boned a couple years back and has been parked to get a full rebuild :-( . Original paint is going bad, but has a 500hp twin turbo 24v V6 being prepped to go in. Is my first car, and no way will I let it go without a fight.

Poor car...

And the salvaged engine that is getting completely rebuilt. The fuel injection system is going to run me more than what the car cost new!

Blah blah and so forth! I just love to work on em and drive/ride em. Place where I can be me.

I don't have anything I'm all that proud of owning but I do all my own work these days so I know them in and out and am proud of that. Used to do some tuning and had newer nicer cars when I worked and made good money. Ford Focuses and fusions lost those and have an older impala and malibu now along with an 81 F150 for mudding and working. Love cars though lots of great shows online like lenos garage and top gear love to attend car shows and read car magazines etc.

dream car would be a ferrari and a porsche as a daily driver

This here is my baby, Scion FRS. This thing is agile, light, responsive and a head turner. Admittedly not the fastest but it does everything I want and more. I prefer track tuned cars as apposed to muscle or things tuned to drag race.

I like to think of myself as a car guy but I admittedly don't know much of the technical stuff, like engine repair knowhow. Im learning but I don't have a huge amount of time to devote.

There are some beautiful rides on here BTW. Those Nissan Zs, oh man. One of my top 3.
