As embarrassed as I was, we talked about it from when I was at a young age. My mom believed in telling me before I could get misinformation from my peers. Which often would happen when the other kids would talk about it and act like they knew everything, but I knew the truth and kept it to myself. It is the parent's or an adults responsibility to tell them, not me. Since my mom told me from young, she's also worked on keeping an open channel of communication with me about others things too, so talking to my mom isn't hard at all. In fact she knows a lot of personal things, and she's a safe place for me to go if I need any advice or a second opinion on something. Happy to say I have a healthy relationship with my mom.

Never really did but I believe that I wouldn't. Even though all my questions have been answered and found through hours of research, it really wouldn't hurt to talk about it. So yeah, I'll be comfortable.

I don't know if it's because of different generations, or my parents are just really cool about it or what, but I find it rather appalling most people here don't talk to their parents about sex for reasons like "it's uncomfortable/embarrassing". I guess I do kinda understand, but learning about it from them really isn't such a big deal to me. Now if they talk about their sexual life, that's a different story.

A completely, yet horrible... J-just horrible different story. //Shudders

My mother talked to me about sex when I was young by giving me an anatomy lesson with pictures of how pregnancy occurs, etc. They were open about discussing sex as a teenager. Now as a married adult? I don't talk about sex with my parents. A. Don't want to talk about their sex life & B. don't need them to know about what goes on with me & my wife.

My face when my mom tried to tell me, at age 15, that kissing will always make people pregnant.

The schools told me anal sex made you pregnant.
Well, technically, it could if it somehow made its way to the uterus, but still...

The only "talk" I got was when I woke up one morning and was bleeding. The only thing my mom said was "well now we go get you pads, read the instructions on how to use them." other then "no you aren't dying" and "I thought I had more time before dealing with this."

My school told me that fellatio makes people pregnant. And they also told me just about everything makes em pregnant.

Westside High School Houston Texas. 2008 sex ed seminar. First time I got to see what herpes looked like. Second time was when I knew a guy who showed me a pic of him when he first got an outbreak.
