So, I really don't know what tone this is going for. Sometimes it's wacky and stupid (just look at the first half of the episode) while being very bleak and serious the rest of the time. I honestly don't really know how to feel about this.

I however do need a gif of the opening scene when the one guy was hammering on the other guys hand while they were watching the mother feed the baby. That was hilarious

I think the contrast of tone is a central point. It's kind of like the last Tatsunoko show, Leopard has a strong sense of justice and doesn't let the harshness of her world break her, and I think, we'll see her change the world into the happier one.

(I almost wanted to say 'bring light to the world' because it has a nice link to Alouette's stress-related blindness, but that's a little over hte top, even for me).

Episode 2

I really like this show. I feel like the blend between the zany and craziness and the more serious undertones is well done. People are comparing this to Zvezda, but I personally think this is better thus far. I didn't really like Zvezda and people say Zvezda held the same tone throughout, but after the hot springs episode it tried to go all serious out of nowhere and that just killed the show for me.

At least with Yatterman it's presenting both the serious and funny themes at once and is trying to make some type of equilibrium with them, unlike Zvezda.

So far I'm loving the characters and the setting and I can't wait for next week!

Also I think this OP is my favorite of the season.

I want to put my face in Leopard's loli-tummy and blow raspberries on it for hours.

And then I want to do lewd things with her.

Leopard is too much. I want one. If you ask me her voice couldn't be more fitting to her. I like how things start fun and then get serious, or well the tone switch in general. Can't always be serious because that's just no fun and Leopard is just a kid too.

Either way my curiosity as to what is exactly going on in Yatter Kingdom is as high as it can be as well as who actually is the villains.

Calling it now, the people they're meeting now are going to be the new 'heroic' Yatterman 1 and 2 (possibly their descendants too).

I gotta say, this show really knows what it's doing with the chemistry between the main characters and also with setup and execution. What a climatic way to conclude the latest episode:

I think I want to know a bit more about Doronjo's partners though. Also getting used to this show's gags now as it may seem unorthodox but also uniquely presented.

I enjoyed episode 3 more than episode 2. In episode 2 the gags really didn't seem to go along with the serious side of this show. In episode 3 it seems like it was more balanced.

Episode 3 hit every possible emotion I think,

I really liked galina's bit though, he's gonna have a hard time going onwards as the voice of reason ><

It's also interesting that they split the credits : OP are Doronbo and ED are Alouette and Galina.

Also also, seriously how great:

"This is impressive, but can we win?"

"We don't have to win, we just have to not lose!"

Some serious dip in quality here but overall a nice episode. They finally have their costumes!

You all do realize who Galina and Alouette are really, right?

Leopard is a delight, she is "kate" the early years, but older. They are also some what playing somewhat the same roles, the anti-heroes? if you will. However I am more inclined to Leopard pending she stays interesting within this story.

I'm pretty sure that the original pitch was focused on Galina and Alouette, and Leopard + Cronies only came in later.

It is, however, a brilliant change.

Lol, just when I thought the latest episode could of been more relaxing with the onsen but nope, more trouble came. And of course, we get a bit of intimidation this episode too.

Interesting to see some origins of the kingdom this series as well. Not bad.
