I would like to watch the latest episode, but Funimation appears to be down. I'm getting PHP errors when I try to use their site.

The realities of the "heavenly" Yatter Kingdom are coming hard and fast.

I wonder how long Leo can keep the childish innocence that thinks things can be solved with a flick to the forehead. The girl is learning some hard lessons and I can't help but feel it's only going to get worse.

Agreed. It's kinda heavy.

This show has a strong Gurren Laggan feel.

This show is too dark. At this point, why should I expect anything good to happen? Why should I be happy when something good does happen? After all, it's only a dramatic setup for things to go badly again. That's the type of show this is so far.

I think you're exaggerating a bit.

Probably a little bit. I'm watching the Walking Dead currently, so the darkness is spilling over I'm sure.

Bad things: Pregnant wife. 80% sales tax! (the horror lol) Her husband was taken away to die in a labor camp. The government's oppression is even worse than we thought. The good guys lose. Everyone is disillusioned even more. Oppressed people willing to betray the good guys for their own self interest. Pregnant lady is now alone and probably hates the good guys (and we'll probably never see her again).

Good things: Backstory on the pig. MC is now even more determined. Comedy bits. Cool action scene. They ate a comfy, home-cooked meal, which was nice.

I mean at least no one died I guess. I'm only expecting it to get happier because there's no point in making it any more depressing.

The "BANZAI" thing was what hit me the hardest. Both of those scenes were genuinely discomforting.

Episode 5

That was just weird. Tournament, snow, and ...uh, Yattercat? I wonder what else this show will do with its gimmicks? Anyways, I'll stick with this but the gimimcks can sometimes get quite crazy.

That was much *MUCH* better. They still lost the fight at the end, I presume they will just about everytime (until Galina steps up), but they also succeeded in their actual goals.

No more "BANZAI!" please ><

very good episode afirming the goals and motivations of our main characters.

an interesting moment with Galina and the robodog that becomes rather chilling after you think about it for a bit

brings back a small nightmare from my childhood

Goro's flashback was pretty creepy for that too.

After all the tones this show has hit, are we gonna end up at existential horror?

Not sure what I think of the show at this point but the humor of the series can be quite entertaining...

I have some newfound respect for Doronjo.
