Hello CR!

So the holidays are right around the corner and its that time of the year where you visit and get to see a lot of family that tou may not get to see that often. Here lately I've been thinkng a lot about the things and people I have in my life that I'm thankful for. So I decided I'd make a topic about it :). Now I feel you should always be thinking about what your thankful for and not take them for granted all year around but this time of the year the feeling just gets a little stronger. Just always remember the people or things you hold hear to you and are thankful foray someday not be around anymore. So cherish them and let them know you care and are thankful for them. They may know, but think how good It'd make them feel to here it from you.

What I wanted to ask you all is what is one think or who is someone your thankful for. Someone or somthing that has always been there for you. Maybe even helped mold you into the person you are today. Just take a moment and think about it. I'm very curious in interested in your responses.

A few people I am thankful for are my father and my close friends. My father was an only parent since I was 7 years old and has been there for me my whole life. He has not only been there for me through my toughest times but has been there to congratulate me ony achievements. He has taught me so much about life and how to be a good and successful person. I am the person I am today because of him.

My close friends are like family to me and I can always count on them when things get tough and I need someone to be there for me. They accept people for who they are and are overall just outstanding people whom I look up to.

Like I said I am very excited to see some responses. And if you don't want to post any or talk about it then obviously that is up to you. My goal here wasn't necessarily to get responses, but to provoke some of these thoughts and get people thinking about it. :)

Cherish these things! Never take them for granted!

Having and still going through one of those "bad things come in threes" couple of months, I'm really thankful for my health and having the people I do in my life.

I've been told by several older people in the past that you can recover from anything as long as you have your health. More and more, I really agree with that. No one is saying that experiencing loss, either through the death of a loved one or the end of a relationship, is easy, but everything is a lot harder when you're mentally and/or physically suffering from diagnosable conditions.

I'm also thankful that I've come to the realization that you can't truly be happy for anyone if you're envious of them at the same time. Saying "I'm happy for you" to someone you know who just got the job you wanted and still feel that you should have instead means that you're not really happy for them.

^ Thanks for the support. I'm usually a very upbeat person. I know bad things happen for a reason and they help us appreciate the good stuff more.

This thread is perfect, I've been thinking in my head today... I'm really thankful for all the positive people I've met in my life... they make me feel glad to be alive.... you know, I'm able to remain a peaceful person because of kindness of others... imagine if I'm only surrounded by negative people, I think I would be so bitter, like an old man.

________

The anime, "free!", I'm thankful for this anime because its special to me... its a show about friends between males which is a gender I can identify with.

In a world where mainstream media is all about superficiality; "big brother", "hangover" movies etc.

Free! is a breath of fresh air for me personally, because it serves as a reminder to me that real and beautiful friendships still exist.

I have posters of this anime all over my house, I dont care if ppm call me crazy but its my reminder and my hope for something real and something I really want/need in my life.

I am thankful for every experience, the good, and the bad. If it were not for that I would not be the delightful woman I am today.

Things I am Thankful For:
My wife
My four children
My job
My car
My health
My family
My church
My faith
My life

I am thankful for more than that, but that's a good list to start. The Lord provides many a blessing

I'm thankful for the people in my life whom are not idiots.

I'm currently dealing with a girl who refuses to come pick up her dog.
It is so frustrating.
