Ahem. Discuss.

So, you see, this was brought up because I've got a bit of a boo-boo on my face and my roommates thinks it looks like herpes. It's not.....and the truth is actually a bit embarrassing. Y'see....I skinned my face a little tiny bit, and it's healing looks like herpes. How I did that?

Yeah, that's the embarrassing part. So I'm not saying.

Anyways, now I thought of STDs and we should discuss them. Obviously. They're a serious issue.

Side Note - We could talk about other diseases, if you like.

Lol.. Kind of random.. I personally think it would suck to end up with any "in-curable" STD.. I think it would be difficult to deal with, and it would probably generate a lot of insecurity within relationships. Not to mention it would be a constant deterrent from getting intimate with your partner.. Idk. I think it would be pretty rough. That is why, I think getting tested prior to getting in any serious relationship is important.

I still remember all the STD pictures they showed us in middle school. Gross. What really disgusted me was why gonorrhea is also called the clap.

STDS ARE CREATED BY THE U.N. TO CREATE MASS DEPOPULATION AND EXTERMINATE THE HUMAN RACE!!!!!!

*tin foil hat off*
Always use a condom folks, and don't go"downtown" unless you really KNOW your partner

*tin foil hat back on*

practice the safest sex...a box of tissues and porn it will not only save you from stds but it can save you from the financial consequences like a lifetime of alimony and 21 years of child support. if nothing else..get a vasectomy...then you can always say.."oh i must have a low sperm count" :-D men need to take control of their "reproductive rights" and these days they have 2 options porn and vasectomies.
let the misandrist feminatzi male bashing begin lol.

It is rumored that my father has a case of syphilis of the brain. Beyond that, apparently last year the floor that I live on in my dorm caught herpes (almost the whole floor) from one girl.
The disease that bugs me the most isn't ebola, it's any of the list of flu viruses. Ebola actually sits behind flu, measles, various stomach bugs including certain strains of e. coli, and right before plagues and smallpox as medical concerns to me.

A week ago. It's mostly back, but it's not on my beard. It's right above it. I think I'll just hide it with a band-aid. I mean, if someone asks what it is I can just tell them the truth(I skinned my face a little) but I don't want rumors going around that I have herpes. That would be dangerous.

Especially if I sit next to that girl I'm crushing on in class tomorrow.....

Band-aid camouflage it is.

last time i checked over 30,000 people die every year from the common flu. way more in die car accidents..ebola less than 5,000. it is just media hype to bump up ratings during a slow news cycle.

It's not really love. She's cute and has colored hair. Y'see.....I've got a weak spot for colorful, cute and soft things. That side of me never grew up.

Which is my point, the diseases I listed before are actual killers in various capacities. Plague gets a very small number of infections (though it is apparently environmental, if not rare), and smallpox, in theory, is relegated to two laboratories. I probably should have set a parameter of illness, but I believe the mortality rate in the US from car wrecks is about 35,000.
