I'm not trying to start a political war or anything on CR nor am I a racist or nazi. Now proceed to my rant

I live in Sweden and as such I don't know how it is in other countries outside Sweden. But in Sweden people use racism and nazism as a excuse for being butthurt over something.

Let's start off with racism. Humans with a darker skinned color have in the past (less then 100 years ago) been treated like living trash by white skinned humans. And this has of course made them pissed and I fully understand why... But now they've got the same rights as us "white", so it's all in the past (atleast in Sweden). And I look at them as true equals.

A few years ago there was a chocolate drink named "pucko" (translating to stupid). The company behind pucko advertised the chocolate drink with taglines like "why don't you drink some, stupid". And everyone was completely fine with both the drink and how it was advertised until there was this one person who decided that it was racist... So what did he/she do? Well, she/he reported the company to the police... And guess what? the company had to stop making the product and pay damages to him/her just because he/she claimed it was racist. I'm against this and I hate people who do these type of things as excuses to make things go their way. Infact, I know friends who are dark who say that people who do these type of things are just a embarrassment to the black people.

Now let's hop over to Nazism. It's not a secret what the nazi f*cks did to jews in world war 2, I do think that everyone who supports Nazism should be thrown into prison since all people are equal. You can't claim that your life problems are connected to another gender or race and as such I think it's a horrible way of life to support the nazi way of thinking. However I'm also against how some anti-nazi people think. In the year 1988 a Swedish ice cream manufacturer made a ice cream with the name 88.

And a few weeks the media started saying things like it had a Nazi message hidden within it... What you ask? Well............... The people whom claims that it had a Nazi message in it said that H is the 8th letter in the alphabet and that in the 2nd world war nazi-germany used 88 as a code for "hail hitler". And all I have to say to the f*cks whom think that it's meant as a nazi message is this... If you have a brain then use it, the ice cream was made in 1988, thus it's name. The name has no connection to Nazism what so f******ever.

So what do you thin about my rant? are your country experiencing anything similar?

idk about Nazism but as long as ignorance exists so will racism the only thing we can do it to not let these people reproduce and continue to breath our air . eventually natural selection will do its work and we will have a world full of open minded people who can coexist peacefully .

There is a lot of political correctness in the USA and it is getting ridiculous.
I think Huey Freeman explains it better than me. What he says is true for Hispanics too.

Skin color is skin color. You can change it less than you can change the sky's color. Not gonna happen.

I think a lot of racism comes from feeling inferior or threatened. For example, the internment and horrific treatment of Japanese during WWII. People were genuinely scared, and they had some reason to be. Then again with Muslims and Arabs after 9/11. These people are normal people who just happen to be something. But after something happened, they became targets for something else.

Racism is a disease. If you partake in it, I can't even acknowledge you. It's how I was raised, how I carry myself, and how I'll teach my own kids one day.

Not to be funny, but google "racial disparity in America" sometime. I won't lay the debate out here, but the file doesn't look to be closed.

Racism does exist, and it exists globally but to say only one race can be racist is utter nonsense. Moving on...

There is a LOT of PC (Political Correctness) and 99% of the time it is utter bullshit. Many do indeed play up the race card (either those OF that race or NOT of that race) and use it for their own agenda. In today's world, it has become okay to be subtly racist/poke fun at certain groups while others (if you attempt to do so) will immediately brand you as "racist". In trying hard not to be racist, there are now many things which have become racist, though people don't want to accept that with their flawed thinking.

Equality has in many ways become contradictory and one sided in my opinion, and I am speaking as a non-white immigrant as well.

I would also like to say I am 100% not a Nazi and I hate them, but damn did they have some terrific uniforms!

The idea that racism only happens to one race of people, or is only inflicted by one race of people, beyond simply being absurd is racist thinking.

My stepfather was a KKK member, so yep, racism still exists, especially in the American South. I can promise that without any question. That said, there is a lot of misplaced angst and guilt from the formerly oppressed, and while I'm sorry that at some point in the past, your ancestors were oppressed, or if you're old enough, you were oppressed, I didn't do the oppressing and I feel no obligation to treat you specially as some form of apology. If you wish to be treated as my equal, that will happen. If you wish to be treated as some higher moral superior, not happening.
As for Nazis, there is a neonazi following in the US, and they express similar sentiments to the originals. I know they were numerous when I was younger, but not sure about now. I'm sure anti-Jew/ anti-Zionist sentiment exists.

What nonsense. Saying "especially in the American South" - what, based on stereotypes of the South in general? Look, I've spent a long time in the South as a non-white. Has there been racism? Sometimes yes, mostly no. Generally from my experience the South has been one of the friendliest, nicest places to live, and I have traveled a lot both in N.America and outside of the States (globally) so I can honestly speak. The little racism I have experienced has been from ALL races (white, black, Latino, Asian...etc. etc.)

People have this constant, undying assumption that the South is still backwards and still "more" racist - that is not true.

The only difference is, the North - with its reputation of being ultra liberal and its Union-Side history - gets away with the racism by hiding beneath its "acceptance" and "open minded attitude" while the South gets stereotyped for being more religious and close minded/ its history with the Confederacy/Jim Crow laws.

There is racism everywhere, and from everybody. The North is not any less racist than the South though it loves to pretend to be, and people gobble up its lies like flies to a honey pot. The North just hides its racism better that's all.

The SJW movement on tumblr baffles me.
I've never seen so much hypocrisy in all my life.

Prejudice will always exist in some form or other. Even if we all had the same body shape and skin color, we would separate ourselves based on abilities, affluence, etc.

There is prejudice in America and all groups perpetuate and suffer from it. It would be nice if we could just judge each other on the basis of who we are and stop demanding special treatment based on race, creed, gender or sexual preference.

America has both Neo-Nazis and KKK members. That is kind of sad and pathetic.

I never knew about this. All I can say is, thank you for opening up my eyes about these... ignorant... people....
