I like my beard but my girlfriend hates it when I don't shave. Thus, I cannot participate in things like longest beard contest to see who has the manliest beard >.>

Yes girls, us men really do these kind of contests for fun ^.^

I don't mind beards, but I shave mine if it gets too out of hand or if I have a meeting of some sort (I think I look better without one, personally).. I don't know. In a related thing: I don't think masculinity has to do in whether or not you shave. If not having hair makes you less of a man, I question your view on the gender.

I am unsure on the hair debate, not just the beard. The majority of men I see, around my age, seem to shave their legs. My leg hair isn't so untamed that it is super unsightly and so I still wear shorts in public, but yeah. I also heard chest hair is now a bad thing? I know a few girls that like it or don't mind it, but it seems the media tends to only show guys without it (and, another small sample size: I know a few girls that also hate chest hair).

In the end - have hair wherever you want as long as you're comfortable with it. I know being socially comfortable is an aspect of it, though.

I doubt this happens often in the US... Beards are pretty common here. I know that beards aren't as common in some countries and looked at differently, but here in the US it's normal.

Oh, you don't have a beard? Check female on all forms, please.

Yeah I have a problem with beards. I can't grow one
Posted 7/30/15
I only have a problem with em if they're dirty & unkempt.

Besides that, I don't care.

I don't like having facial hair so I shave it all off

Beard and manliness are two separate things. If you have a beard itself, you're not really qualified for anything good. IF you have BOTH, good, I like you.

i just don't like to shave so i don't do it that often... but it's also kind of annoying when it's just starting to get longer especially when you're trying to eat or drink. things like hotdogs with lots of toppings are especially bad.

i'd like to grow it out to dwarf level and braid my mustache over out of the way but i just can't stand it while i'm eating so i always end up shaving well before i get to that point.

@GreatLordBalzak that beard attractiveness graph was hilarious.

I hate my beard, because it's patchy and pubes-like. But my friends(mostly ladies) insist I kept my beard, now it's weirdly long pubes beard...
Yet, if I shaved, I look like 16 years old, that's problematic....

My boss has rules on beards and keeping a clean appearance. Mustaches are allowed, but without a beard, they feel weird.
