Most beautiful sounding language
Posted 10/24/14
Growing up I was told languages like Spanish, Italian and French were Romance languages, and when I think of romance I automatically link beauty to it. After taking Spanish classes throughout my high school career I starting to wonder what is the most beautiful sounding language. I had never limited myself to only learning Spanish, on the side I was self-teaching myself Japanese, as well as Arabic and German. Now, there is something I've ascertained about every single language I've learned so far, and that's that they all have their own allure. With that said, I would have to say Japanese in my opinion is the most beautiful sounding language. And if I had to choose a second, it would be Arabic.

What would you say?

french and Italian. Japanese sounds cool but after studying it for an extended period of time you start to get sick of it xD.

Personally find all languages are beautiful when a trained voice actor speaks that language.

A language may appear to sound ugly when normal ppl speak it because most if the times, they get the stresses wrong or their tone is just ugly.

There's an art to speaking.

______

Like Christina Aguilera has such a beautiful talking voice, could listen to her all day and not get bored. Most Americans accent annoys me, but not hers.

I've been studying French for more than 3 years now. It's a pretty fun, but difficult language to learn.

As said before it depends who speaks it. I really like the Korean and German languages though. German can sound just as angry as the Russian language, but when some people speak it, it can sound completely different.

I also thought the Chinese language was pretty confusing to even fathom listening to, but I forced myself to take a look at the top 10 albums in their country, and quality of their music was amazing. The language didn't even bother me anymore. But I guess when it comes to music it's a different subject.

English strikes me as the most emotionless and calm language, which I greatly prefer. It's hard to have a truly objective opinion of languages, though.

I forgot to say that any language tradition used in religion is beautiful.
Latin in the Tradional Catholic Latin Mass

Russian during the Orthodox Divine Liturgy

Buddhist chants are also pretty interesting no matter the language.

It depends on the speaker. Almost every language like Arabic, German, French, Italian, etc.
