So I've seen some blu-ray sales in japan and have been researching a lot lately just doesn't make sense......

how is

Aldnoah.Zero higher in sales (8000 this week) ............. wtf????
log horizon 2000 this week
SAO 1866 this week
akame ga kill 1900 this week

aldonah is literally the worse anime ive ever watched the entire show is dull so many people i know watched it (77 yea i have a lot of nerd friends) to 12 ep even though they didn't want to just to see if it was good and it was bad even the ending.

Idk maybe im just ignorant or retarded but imo i give this anime a 5/10 at best

i guess it sells well cause its mecha??? japaneese people still love mechas for some reason????

id rather watch the rip off version of zero no tsukaima (blade dance of elementalers)

tldr i wish usa sales had an impact in anime companies making a second season or 3rd etc dont say we do cause everyone knows we dont lol... even if we did have better sales in japan here in us vs japan they dont give a **** i can give some examples too where us sales were a lot higher than jp sales and a 2nd season or 3rd w/e still wasnt made

since a series is finished the sales would be higher than say.... a series that are not finished?

Waaah! Why is an anime I don't like so popular? Boohoo! Why can't the world understand that mine is the only right opinion?

It's a high fidelity experience with callbacks to 80s mecha/sci-fi; while it isn't difficult to keep on top of it's also well placed to benefit from social hype with broad demographic appeal and the right amount of controversy to keep the pot simmering. So there's ease of access, broad appeal, high production values, excitement, and edginess for flavor.

I'm glad it's flying so well for Aoki and Studio TROYCA.

Next up: Why did Transformers: Age of Extinction gross +$1B?! Don't people know they're not supposed to like it?!

Where are you getting those sales figures?

The final volume of the original Log Horizon series came out on August 27 (2 months ago) and sold 3,660 copies on Blu-ray and DVD. I'm confident they haven't released anything for the second series yet (and very likely won't until 2015).

The first volume of SAO II was scheduled for release on 10/22, and someanithing doesn't have the weekly's for that period up yet. That aside, it would be rather odd for SAO to drop so precipitously from the sales of the original series.

Akame ga Kill shows somewhat better sales than you listed: 3,154 (2,378 BD + 776 DVD):

Me neither, I've lost track of Transformers. I'm more of a Pirates of the Caribbean guy.

BTW, the sales for the first volume of SAO II are out, and it sold 15,157 Blu-ray discs:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2014-10-28/japan-animation-blu-ray-disc-ranking-october-20-26/.80417

It sold an additional 3,314 on DVD:

I stated the final volume of the original Log Horizon series came out 2 months ago, not 2 weeks ago.
